cybercheese Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 I have been working on a nipple piercing devious device and all is going well except for one thing. In both bodyslide and outfit studio the mesh is aligned correctly, but in game it is slightly off of the character (not by much but noticeable). I am using the HDT CBBE body as a reference. If anyone has any advice or comments, I would love to hear them.  Â
Dorabella Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Change body .  1) OS/import nif_0 of the armor, right click on the body , delete 2) OS, import nif/skyrim data/meshes/actors/characters/characters assets/femalebody_0 3)Export nif and overwrite armor. Repeat step for body_1
cybercheese Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 If I'm not mistaken I don't believe that this will work. I only included the BaseShape to show for the screenshot, it is removed otherwise as the item takes up slot 51, and I want it to work with HDT so I have been using the CBBE Body HDT Reference to align everything. When I tried importing the femalebody_0/1 everything was even more misaligned than before.
NoNickNeeded Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Looks to me like an issue with the weights. The ornaments have different weight values than the breast, so they move differently and are affected by gravity differently. You could try to delete the bone weights of the ornaments and copy the weights from the body onto them and see if that fixes it. Â Don't forget to make a backup first, just in case.
cybercheese Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 That worked like a charm. For some reason there was a difference between Copy Bone Weights and Copy Selected Weights. Or I'm just dumb. Thanks for the help!
NoNickNeeded Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 As far as I know there should be no difference between copying all or selected (other than the obvious). But since copying doesn't overwrite the values in the target mesh, but rather merges the values of the target and source it is important to first delete the target's weights before copying to make sure both meshes have the same weights.

Copy Bone Weights means copying from the Reference (shape thats written in green). Copy selected Weights is copying the weights from the selected bones in the bones tab. So yes there is a difference unless you selected every bone from the Reference then it should be the same.
