help making sl compatible followers

Hey, this is probably a dumb question... but im just wondering what the best guide is to help me start to make some followers,  I've watched some guides on youtube. & got her sort of working.... but my new follower isn't working with sl and I don't know where to look .... to try to fix it...

But SL should work whit all followers.

If it's not working with SL out of the box then maybe you have created a custom race.
