Shower Scenes Not Showing After SR and SSR Pulls

I am having the issue of the shower scenes not showing and giving me blank screens whenever I pull an SR or SSR. I am not sure what the problem is. I do not know if I need to update the demist or that the hidescene files have something to do with the issue. I am playing the steam version of this game by the way.

Can you hear the scene playing in the background?

Did you try hitting F2 to disable mods during the blank screen to see if the video shows?

To find out if it's one of those mods you would have to remove them and draw an SR/SSR which sounds rough.

I believe the shower scenes are .wmv videos. It could be that they're not downloaded properly/corrupt or maybe a codec problem on your PC. They should be around 11-18mb in the DX11_global_data>COMMON folder. Sort by size then either drag one of the files in that range into a media player, or copy them somewhere, add .wmv, and then try to play it.

 

Also, have you restarted your PC since you noticed the problem?

@Adm99First of all thank you for responding. Means a lot. Second, I did not try listening to it as I did not have my headphones in at the time. I did not restart it but attempted multiple separate times and the issues lingers. I will try hitting f2 the next time to observe what happens. I am a little confused about the dx11 stuff you mentioned though. I have the folder open but do not know what to do from here.

Sort files by size and find some in the range I mentioned and see if they play as a video in a media player like I mentioned(not all will be the videos so try multiple). I can just drag them directly into my player, but you can also copy them to a new location, then add .wmv as the extension and then try to double-click them to launch an associated media player.

It won't really help narrow things down, but it will let you see if you have shower scenes properly downloaded at least. If they are there and working then something is interfering with them playing in your game which could be due to a mod. Restarting your PC and disabling mods should be the first things to try. Getting an SR/SSR scene in-game for testing is the tough part.

@Adm99 So from 14kb to 18kb, the one that does not play is the 16.309kb one.

It just might not be a video file. You can't really tell anything else by just trying to play all the random files in that folder(99% of them aren't videos). At least now you know some shower videos are in there and work as videos. If things are still broken after trying the other steps then you could take note of the girls/scenes that still didn't play in-game and try to find them in that folder later as a last resort.

@Adm99If that is the case, then Helena, Kasumi, Marie, and Misaki all need to be fixed somehow. The problem is that in the videos, I found Kasumi and Helena.

Its so weird too because I have the latest mod manager downloaded and I don't see any conflicts with any of the mods I installed.

@Adm99 So I just tried to disable the mods during the shower scenes but the black screen persisted. The music was still playing though. And for some reason, the water looks so dark. Not sure why.

I've never seen that before. It might be some other mod causing it. You should try removing some/all mods and see if it returns to normal and the video comes back.

Also, I'm not sure what the 'HideScene_Photobooth.ini' and 'HideScene_Shower.ini' you posted are supposed to do. Where did those come from?

TBH, I don't remember where I got those mods neither. It's been forever ago since I downloaded it. I am not sure if they may somehow be causing the issue but then again, I disabled it in the mod manager. And I did press f2 during an SSR pull but to no avail. So I think it maybe a mod(s) outside of the costume mods that is causing this weird issue.

I did as you said.The door and water vapor have disappeared, but the shower scene of sr and ssr is still invisible.

DX11_global_data>COMMON folder also confirmed that there was a shower scene.

What should I do?

 

p.s.  In addition, when using tension bust, only the black screen appears.

Sorry, beyond that, I have no idea. I hope someone who's more knowledgeable can resolve this.

 

P.S. I just thought of something. I would look at Teddy's mod thread and make sure that you are using the d3dx.ini he posted. This may or may not resolve the issue for you but it did fix some weird stuff for me back then.
