Mod request / Smaller cup size for armor.

Hiya im wondering if there is a smaller cup size of this armor and robe? the mod in question is edhildils dmra skimpy stock armor. i really like the replacers for the dwarven cuirass and order robe but im not to keen on the breast size to be frank, my skill lies in texturing rather then 3d modelling so i cant do this myself. :-/ like i said i was wondering if it has already been done or if i could request if someone here would gladly have a go at it. would do it myself if i could... and i have tried 3d modelling and its just too irritating for me... i would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this and im sure there must be someone else looking for a similar thing to. Please help me with this :-/

any help will be greatly appreciated

thanks

Also if i put this in the wrong thread im sorry i had no idea where to put it lol.

here are some picture i took in nifskope of the clothing.

Hmmm im considering it just because...

However:

1 - I dont think i ever saw any smaller conversion of DMRA Skimpy armors anywhere....

2 - I dont like massive breast size either (there are very few of us), i generally use or even transform mods to C, D or E Cup,  at most and only for special occasions, where larger looks better; these sizes look more believable to me, but im officially wearing C cup for my characters, some things i have for them are larger but only special cases, or warrior armors. But i must ask, which is your intention, C?, D?, E? or are you talking about smaller as AA, A or B, cause i mostly dont use those either (not into lolicon..)

3 - You intend to have only those two? or the whole replacer collection, cause that would mean a helluva lot of work, and personally im too busy/lazy for such a task right now (dont know of other modders though)

4 - The first one i think is easy as hell, the base body it uses is DMRA, and uses the same UV map than any HGEC body, only need to change meshes in nifskope,, change texture paths, then cut extra parts in blender and maybe some slightly adjustment to armor shape to reduce it and voila!

5 - The second is simple too but it could require more blender in adjusting the breast covering part

6 - Its a secret so dont tell anyone but i was making a huge remodelation of every single armor in Oblivion, ive been doing it for a while but its basically my own take at combining the best replacers ive ever seen from every replacer mod ive ever collected with some of my own stuff and creations, in my opinion, totally awesome and completely lore-friendly (sorry DMRA is not the biggest part off it, but Yuravica's FLY series is (google it if you dont know it, youll find it it Nexus) So this is getting released at some point and it includes a version to order robes too which i already made and im happy with it, so as you can understand i dont get much out of this, except doing it because i can and to help someone...

7 - You have texturing skills? cause thats where im poor and i could really use some help and tips from now and then on some projects of mine... can you make cool textures for armor and clothes for a UV-mapped (texture-mapped) mesh?

Hiya thank you for replying to my thread (thought it was going to get ignored lol). Have to say i love your mod the spider elves.. i was lurking for a while waiting for you to upload it (saw it on nexus).

Yeah most armors i use are actually Yuravicas remodels, but i wasnt to fussed on the dwarven one they did... it seemed to clunky for me and similar to the default. And yes i was talking about those two armors/clothing, asking for the whole thing would be a bit overboard, i use E cup and thats what i wanted it to be converted to.

However i might ask for a really simple tweak to one of the yuravica remodels considering that you know of them this should be simple... i am specifically talking about  the elven cuirass... i love the style of it but i dont appreciate the nipples peeking at me, all it needs is to be pulled down a bit.. but i fail :-/ i prefer my characters to be attractive to the eye but not..... hanging out lol (plus i prefer lore-friendly for the default armors) but i'd appreciate it, to be fair i try to request simple things that wont take a whole lot of time (so i dont annoy people and to be polite).

Textures..

I usually make custom textures for races and such like converting alot of the roberts khajiit textures to HGEC, never tried armors before but i could have a go at it certainly..

thanks again for replying :-)

i would appreciate the help.

First of all, please convert images to either PNG or JPG before posting them online. BMP files are tremendously inconvenient for everyone.

Second, the Order armor is trivial. Just delete the body mesh in NifSkope and then use "Copy Branch" and "Past Branc" to copy in HGEC body parts in whatever cup and butt size you prefer, then change the texture to the one from the DMRA version.

As for the Dwemer cuirass, it would depend on what cup size you want, I'm not sure how well the breast coverings would do once shrunk down.

The change to the Yuravica elven cuirass is pretty simple, but honestly you should just suck it up and learn how to use Blender. Its not like those of us who can do these things were born with the knowledge. What you want to do is a perfect starting point to get your feet wet, and its far more productive than begging other people to do it for you.

Ok i just installed this program, i tried messing around with it.. with every single tutorial or things of the like to do with armor (resizing, converting, making a full set of armor into separate pieces) on the internet and im getting extremely frustrated. there all to vague about things...... can anyone help by telling me how to change the size of the disc... things on the dwarven cuirass? like scale them? or is that to much to ask for. Otherwise i have found a different armor i have that has these disc things already at the cup size i want.. however the mesh has been joined into another mesh of a top..... and they are not separate.... anyway of removing them from the other mesh?

Im tearing my hair out over this..... and i extremely hate blender.......

Unfortunately you are going to need blender for what you are talking about.  Resizing\scaling things in nifskope can be done on some things but it generally just F's the whole thing up.

Thanks for the help gregathit, i have made the model in blender and it looks perfect to me.. however i have a slight problem concerning the exporting part of it....

My scenario is i exported it and checked on nifskope and the CS ... the cuirass was fine on nifskope but it wouldnt show up on a character in the cs, it justs shows a floating head.... so i searched the problem and found a tutorial, i followed this tutorial as correctly as i could ( http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Split_Oblivion_meshes ). im currently stuck on the preping for exporting bit.... it keeps coming up named as scene root 00 (which i think is the problem, as it says it shouldnt be named that)... i keep trying to import a new one and follow the instructions shown in the tut and it just wont change.. it keeps coming up as scene root 00 .... its really irritating..... so i have no idea what i can do. and i dont want to have to convert the cuirass all over again it took me long enough as it is... lol

any ideas on how to fix this?

Posted

ALSO... (sorry double posting) i followed previous instructions on this thread for the order rode... (copying and pasting upper* body and stuff in nifskope).. the chest is invisible... showing floating hands, head, legs and feet.... bearing in mind the only thing i changed was the upper body part.... i kept the bottom and others the way it was originally... i cant see 2 scene roots either.... so i dont think its that.

Not sure if its the same problem or different

if it is a new problem any way to fix it?

any help is appreciated.

So... i was messing around and last night i managed to make a conversion for ya...

Both pieces of clothing dont come in female version in vanilla game so you need an esp that activates them

there are tons of mods that have such esp to create a female version of them

DMRA is one of them

However just ask again if you have trouble installing them

if youre using another mod, find out what folders does it use for the female verions and just replace them with these ones

If you still cant manage to get them working, i can make an esp

I converted upper and lower body parts to HGEC E Cup and M Lowerbody

If you only wanted the top cuirass converted to HGEC just ignore the "greaves" file in the folder

I hope you like it

Ah thank you :) thats really nice of you to help me! as you can see i did try to do it myself ... it came out alright but didnt exactly work lol and it looked no where near as good as yours thank you so much! i really appreciate it.  If you need any help with texturing i would be glad to help if you still want my help that is.

Sorry to ask for more help but seeing as your experienced at blender, i was wondering if you could give me a few tips so i can try and tweak yuravica's elven cuirass remodel myself?

If elalquimista's version doesn't fix things for you then you will need to do the following:

1. Use nifskope to rename the scene root.

2. Since you cut off parts you may need to cut\paste them over a body if the mesh didn't have one.  Either that or you will need to adjust the esp armor coverage to only cover the body area that it currently has.  Example:  If you took a full body armor (upperbody and lowerbody) and cut off the upperbody then you need to either:

1. Adjust the armor coverage in the esp on only cover the upperbody

or

2. Add a lowerbody to the mesh.

There is no 'body' underneath clothes or armor meshes in most cases.  It is generally part of said mesh.

If all else fails the zip up your nif files and post them here and I or someone else will take a look at them.

About the textures, yes i could still use some help

The outfit im trying to make is inspired by this one:

luis%20royo_visions_underground%20in%20m

So i need nice textures for the fabric or whatever the clothes are supposed to be made of, i already made the meshes and UV-mapped them but im still unhappy with some of the textures

As for Yuravica's elven cuirass...

As i mentioned i had my little remodeling project and i took care of that a long time ago, i even posted a pic in a minor mod of mine: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/43429

But now that you mention it im not entirely happy with it, maybe its a little too skimpy and i need to cover it up, maybe some pauldrons and a tweaked version of the same sleeve it was in the original, also i could lower it down a little bit,,, Well at least it doesnt show nipples, its skimpy but covers everything

And I agree with Nephenee13, its better to investigate and learn to do it yourself, i had to learn all my blender skills on the road...

But some guidance doesnt hurt, its like teaching a man how to fish

Tweaking that Elven armor is a good idea and there are some basic stuff you should manage before attempting to do so

-The scene root issue is what they said, open file in nifskope and rename the skeleton in there

-You need to know how to mold in blender, everyone has their own techniques, but i prefer being detailed, thats mainly modeling vertexes with the proportional editing button (orange circle) on and playing and messing around with how you model, change the view, use rotate, translate or just grab the vertex (press g) and adjust the shape to what you want... its difficult to explain its better to experience, trial an error, but proportional editing is very useful, besides when youre in grab mode (g) you can choose how large is the area around your vertex selection you are altering too, just expand/contract it with the mousewheel. other people prefer to use modifiers or sculpt mode but there is a situation for everything

-Key buttons you should manage:

 -G: grab

 -S: scale

 -R: rotate

-X,Y,Z: any of the previous followed by one of these does same action in given axis

-Another thing about proportional editing is you can choose in what way you alter the surrounding area, (fallof type) smooth, sphere and linear are the ones i use the most

-Other thing in which modeling radicates is in your ability to select vertexes to modify, you want one, two or maybe a large area of the mesh, it all depends on the result you get with this alone or combining it with proportional editing

-Another nice feature is the mirror modifier, its very useful and you would do well in learning to use it

-Theres yet another cool modifier for conversions and thats the lattice modifier, its great for simple conversions, and it works even better if you can combine it with other methods such as mirroring and modeling

It all about  trial and error

I wish i could give more tips, but its very hard to explain something that you can only learn by experience, tutorials can give you the tools, but what you make is you own path, especially when it comes to modeling

Bugs and errors are another thing, thats where its wise to ask questions, your issue with the scene root for example, theres the solution

Youll probably find a lot of errors in the way but try to start from simple things and then going into the complex ones

Take it one step at a time

Ok your remodels work perfectly in my game, :) i was wondering how i would go about adding a skirt to the greaves yo made? i tried to copy and paste the skirt from the default dwarven greaves.. but the actual skirt wont show up? so i was wondering how i could get it to be visible?

im sorry if this message doesnt make much sense my brain has officially died..

Are you sure you copied it correctly?

It is very important in Nifskope that the meshes are rooted to "0  NiNode          Scene Root" because if they arent rooted to that one, they arent attached to any skeleton so they dont show up

If it says

+ 0  NiNode           Scene Root

+ 0  NiTriStrips        Skirt (or whatever name it has)

Then its wrong

To fix it when you copy a mesh you right click it and go to "block/copy branch" and to paste it, you do it by right clicking on "0  NiNode" and go to "block/paste branch"

It has to be:

+ 0  NiNode           Scene Root

   Nothing else

you click on (+) and it must look like this

- 0  NiNode           Scene Root

  +  1 NiTriStrips        Skirt

  +  2 NiTriStrips        LowerBody

  +  3 NiTriStrips....

  +  4 Etc...

Another possibility is at some point you screwed up and deleted bonewheights but thats more unlikely, check in Nifskope if the skirt mesh has any "NiSkinInstance" property with a + sign that shows up names of bones such as "Bip01Pelvis, Bip01 L Thigh etc..."

Aha! it works now, thank you so much my friend! im am now positively beaming... thank you so much i really appreciate the help :)

there shall be cheese for everyone!

the texture you want help with shouldnt be so hard im not sure if i will be able to make it look realistically like suede ( the actual 3d looking fabric) but i probably could get it to look like it is in the luis royo painting... just needs toning and a bit of gentle blending of darker and lighter shades. Have you got a picture of the one you did? if so pm it to me and i have a look at it.

Ok! good to know

i was just about to take a screenshot, and send you some images, as well as post a teaser shot at Nexus...

Then my computer died...  :@  :@  :@

I think its a problem with the motherboard cause it doesnt recognize any hard drive on any connector cable and its impossible both hard drives died at the same time

Thankfully i have a backup of all the mods i have an all the mods im making, i have backups of my characters' saves too

But i need fresh install and that means starting installations again from zero... thats why im so pissed off right now

On another matter im glad to know it worked  and i hope you continue to learn things  :)

Maybe once this is all over ill send you something regarding those textures

Ah fair enough, thats pretty harsh dont worry your not the only one, my computer blue screens occasionally when im on the internet its really irritating and oblivion has a tedency to crash my favourite characters..... like my vampire golden saint :-/ ... wish i could play him for at least an hour.... anyway i digress .. i hope you sort it out soon and everythings okay.. i'll try my hand at making more armors! already made a elven armor remodel which im very pleased of.... had to go into blender to resize it but it works perfectly!

thanks for your help

Also, for that painting you posted, the clothes she is wearing looks like some sort of natural colored leather bra over some kind of almost see through silk tank top/shirt thing. The tanktop's fabric kind of reminds me of the old grave linens or w/e they used back when they entombed an important noble.
