I don't get it .

I download a mod from this thread , extract it in "\steamapps\workshop\content\992300" , boot up the game , nothing appears in the in-game mods menu .
I then try the same with "AppData\LocalLow\shixue\BloodySpell\workshop\weapon" , still nothing .

What am I missing ? Do I have to sub to actual workshop files and replace them instead ? Cause nothing's working .

I use the AppData folder when I insert mods, so I'm going to troubleshoot for that method. I don't know how much it applies to the Workshop folder method.

 

For starters, in-game, make sure you're checking the right menu. When you put the mod in the AppData folder, it's in the "Local" mods menu, not the "Subscribed" mods menu.

Also, I skimmed over it in my earlier post, but if you have multiple users on your PC, make sure you're in the AppData folder of the correct user.

And if you manually created any folders, check for spelling mistakes. I don't remember if it's case sensitive, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

 

If none of that helps, then the thing that might actually be the issue; The names of the folders the mods are contained in is also important. You can't just call it whatever, each mod expects a specific folder name.

 

Usually they'll have the correct folder name already, but to be sure, you should open the mod folder, and look for a "data.json" file. You should be able to just open it with Notepad. In that file, there's a line that says "folderName" followed by a string. You want to copy whatever is in that string and make it the name of the folder the mod is contained in.

 

So for example, the most recent mod uploaded here has "folderName":"2925437221" in it's data.json, so the folder that mod is contained in must be named 2925437221 or it won't work. In other words, the data files of that mod, need to be in the folder "%username%\AppData\LocalLow\shixue\BloodySpell\workshop\weapon\2925437221" or it won't be read by the game.

In this example, the mod is already packaged in the .rar with the correct folder name, and shouldn't give you any issues, but not every mod is like that, so you should check to be sure.

So, I didn't know anything about this game. Let alone known about the mods.. so i have it a go and got the mod on page 5... now I'm a nude chick with a dude's voice... 🤔.. uh... ok lol. So, again, just started this. Wondering if there's any accessories i could wear along with the nudity. Like some gloves, boots etc.. or was this mod just an overwrite of all wearable items?

Yeah, using a modded character just overwrites all clothing items. They still give you stats, of course, you just don't see them.

If you want a female voice and animations, there's a free DLC that lets you equip a "female clothing stone" in the "Skin" slot in equipment.

I can't remember if that DLC changes appearance with the equipment or not. But if you just want to play as a female, then that's all you really need.

Bruuh cracked aka pirated game don't work for mod.... It have been like this so nice early access of this game. If u want mod u need to Google it on some adult forums n they teach u how.

Unzip the mods in the folder: C:\Users\Username here\AppData\LocalLow\shixue\BloodySpell\Workshop\weapon

then "start" the game into menu and select to enter: Workshop / Local / Actor / ...mods unziped into folders

Open the game directory through Steam or navigate their manually then select the BloodySpell_Data folder and paste the 2 files you downloaded into that folder confirming the replacement.

 

My directory looks like this though yours will probably be slightly different if its saved on your C drive (E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BloodySpell\BloodySpell_Data).
