Gloss in CAS not appearing

Hello, this is my first time posting a thread so apologies if I make any mistakes. 

My question is about CAS: 

I seem to have an issue with the CAS items that use high gloss. (Items like all of LoveBob's Latex items and E404Ps 'Creamy Wet Dick' )

It seems that after I install certain mods the gloss will appear and work correctly but after closing and reopening the game a few times or installing other mods the gloss will go away and not be working. This seems to be kind of random because it has come back more than once, after installing more mods rather than removing any. I had just sort of accepted that it wasn't going to be there but it has reappeared enough times for me to wonder if there is an easy fix. 

I'm well aware that I can sit there going back and forth with half and half method testing other mods with it in game but my computer doesn't open and close the game the quickest and I'm also not completely confident that it's another mod that is breaking it but rather that there's some setting I can fix or what not. I also have what seems like a couple hundred mods so that would be quite the task. (Which run FINE together I might add, just not the gloss) 

I do not have any photos yet because I haven't taken photos while the gloss is appearing in my game. I am just hoping someone who knows exactly the problem and/or has fixed it themselves before will run across this thread.

Maybe I'm missing the point, but some hairstyles override the gloss/shine of CAS items. So try with different hairstyles maybe it will solve your issue.

I finally figured out the problem! Well, I figured it out right after I posted this thread but I haven't gotten around to posting about it yet. 

Hopefully I can save someone the trouble though - 

If the gloss textures are not appearing on your sims correctly, it might be because you need to have ALL settings on at least MEDIUM for the high gloss effects to show on clothing and bodies. 

 

I figured out that when I was installing different mods that I was changing the different quality settings trying to find what works best. I finally noticed that the gloss reappeared after I changed a setting and start experimenting.

 

I am not sure if object texture needs to up to medium but I know for sure that reflections, sims, and lighting must all be medium for high gloss to appear. 

I will test this soon and also post pics of the differences between what gloss looks like in different settings.
