Does skyrim run on windows 7 and all the mods made here also rum smoothly on windows 7?

I am getting a new computer soon. I wanted to make sure.

as to the mods running smoothing that depends on the power of your computer, if you install everything correctly, how many mods you have installed etc etc etc....

The simple answer is yes. Skyrim and every mod I've ever come across works on Windows 7 just fine. The only concern you could ever possibly have about running modded Skyrim on Win7 is the issue of memory usage, but there are plenty of tutorials on how to manage it.

Skyrim will run on windows seven. That said, if you plan on modding the game a lot (as in 600 mods plus (Yes, I know...its excessive, I can't help myself)), you may wish to do acouple quick google searches on tweaking skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini. Definitely some interesting tweaks for forcing certain functions of the game to multi-thread amongst other cute things that can improve the loading and general running of the game under excessively strained circumstances.

consider this analogy:

 

1) skyrim runs on the OS called windows 7. 

 

2) skyrim mods basically run on the "OS" known as "Skyrim." 

 

Ok that's a little simplistic, but the bottom line is that if skyrim runs as expected, you should expect for mods to run inside skyrim as expected as well.
