Pets glitch out - constantly in red (KW)

Since I installed KW I was having no problems at first. Just recently I have an unavoidable eventual glitch where all the pets in the house cannot have their needs get into the green for more than a couple hours (even with resetSim), eventually they get taken by the social worker. I tried experimenting by loading up older saves, going back two weeks, four weeks, six weeks. Each time this thing with the pets getting super permanently pissed off and taken away happens.

 

I have "pet lover" or whatever turned off within KW.

 

Another glitch is when the human Sims get fleas, taking a shower/bath doesn't get rid of them.

 

Another is that jam preserves can no longer be put onto bread (Canning Station Overhaul Mod).

 

I have searched and even tried just reading through many pages of threads and can't seem to find this referenced anywhere. Would love to hear if anyone has an idea of what could be the problem.

This looks like the best clue - what changed? If the answer is 'nothing' - no new mods or ANYTHING which could be used to troubleshoot, then I would say the save is corrupted and try a previous save back before shit went haywire. You tried this per your post. If something DID change - put it back to like before and test whatever was changed till the guilty party is found.

Fleas can take multiple showers to rid - just like KW 'crabs' (same thing - used differently)  ......Can't help with the canning station.

 

Seriously - you say you had NO problems, and LATER you did - this is a huge red flag. You'll want to troubleshoot this using standard procedures if not save file corruption. Because your problem seems pretty much -in your face- I'm guessing you noticed it right away. I had an issue with Sims walking and not skating on the Roller/Ice rinks which came with Seasons. I tracked it down to a mod called 'Mummies walk normally' which released before Seasons launched and was never updated (if possible). The harder part here was I had played for awhile before a skating rink was available in the seasonal public festival grounds. I keep my mods in order of install within my archives, so I knew I only had a certain number to look at to find the culprit.

 

I run ALL Ep's and have never seen this problem - so if it 'is' KW related, it must also be tied to something else you've done.

 

Of course we have no idea what mods or builds or anything about your install.
