CTD at Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary

Hi, I am in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary near Falkreath.  Every time I finish speaking to Astrid.  She directs me to Nazir.  When I am approaching the group huddled around Babette telling her story the game crashes to desktop.

 

I have tried with 233 mods and with just one mod and the game crashes when I near the group.  The area where Astrid is is fine though it's just the area I mentioned.

Maybe this one DBCO_Babette.esp. Is all mods that are installed for SE? You have SkyUI installed so you might be able to go into the console and use the TFC mode to ghost move over to the group and click on babette and see if anything is listed under SkyUI. You can also use TES5Edit SE version and run it and it'll load all files that you have installed into your game and see what is all altering the skyrim file.

You are correct it was the Babette mod.  Too bad the mod made her look adorable and it fit her scheme in luring victims.  Anyway the game does not crash.  I had a hunch it was always her but forgot about the mod.  Thanks for the help!

You are welcome. Yeah whenever you get a crash the first thing you should do is look at what might be altering that cell. Check the mods download page and see if it has any requirements that you missed like a compatible skeleton as having a incorrect skeleton installed can cause it.
