fallout 4 AAF Stops working on later save but works on a earlier save

so AAF has been giving me hell and when i had finally got it working i started playing but 17 hours in to a save it stops working i would press the home button and it would not work so im very confused and ask the help of this community

Never remove or add a scripted mod in the middle of a play through. You'll regret it every time.

Short answer it leads to save corruption. You can use a save cleaner to remove the left behind data from mods you remove mid play through but still best to avoid removing mods from a game mid play through especially heavy script mods or mods that make world edits.

this link is a skyrim se discussion but since fo4 uses basically the same engine with a few more bells and whistles added it applies...
