Okay, first...the preliminary information.

 

PC:

ASUS mobo with dual-core (@2200 each) cup

3gb ram

1gb Ati Radeon 4750 video card.

2tb HD

 

Is there any reason that whenever I start the GECK to edit an ESP file, it slowly bloats and kills other processes until the computer blue-screens?

 

Start Geck

open ESP file

Start editing file

"Windows Desktop Gadgets has crashed"

Click ok and keep working

(2 minutes later)

"Windows Explorer.exe has crashed"

Click oka nd keep working

(2 minutes later)

Blue Screen of Death...

 

I mean, wth is up with this app....seriously!!?

Usually Windows crash means something else other than the program used. I'd be more willing to guess something in Windows fucked up as you used GECK.

 

And yes, GECK is fucking bitch when it crashes.

I would have to agree with Sora3...sounds like something big is wrong with windows.

What version are you running and what bit?

Yeah, something is definitely wrong with my windows-7 install.

My device manager screen shows nothing and I get a pop-up saying there are no graphics drivers installed on my computer. Trying to reinstall the drivers for my video card gives me an error saying that they cannot be installed for some reason.

 

 

I haven't reinstalled windows7 just because I can't be bothered...

Looks like I may have to after all.

I hate it.

this is the second time I'm gonna have to reinstall win7 in a month.

First time was on my laptop thanks to Microshaft's stupid corrupted updates.

 

I'm sure the same update issue has corrupted my gaming pc.
