~peeks in~ Am I late? (Skyrim Noob help request thread)

Greetings from a late comer to the Skyrim modding stuff. I recently was able to finally get Skyrim, and, like Oblivion, I wanna mod it.

I am not new to TES modding, as a user. My Oblivion was heavily modded, but... For some reason, I can't wrap my head around the Skyrim mods.

Lemme get into a bit more detail.

I loved BiggerDMRA from Oblivion. But that abbreviation is used no where in the Skyrim mods. What would achieve that look (without the Round Ass. I like them chesty.)

The other thing, is, is there anything like the Lovers with PK? One thing I loved, was the added difficulty of 'trying' to not get raped. ( We all know, half the time, I totally wanted it. :3 )

I saw... the Skyrim version of OBSE... Ummmm.... SKSE? I got that. So we are good there.

Basically, I would like something like the Colorwheels overhauls, plus being able to have myself be BDM (like I could achieve with SetBody). (And once I know the route to take with the Body style, then it's back to combing through to find appropriate armors.

I know... I really should lurk more... But I really do wish to start up Skyrim. >.<

Thank you all for your time and looking this over, if you post or don't. ^.^

You'll want FNIS for proper insertion of animation related mods. TES5Edit to clean up mods with dirty edits (Careful not to clean ones that have been precleaned by the author). I'm sure you already know about NMM and BOSS. You'll be a little disappointed that Skyrim isn't as heavy with mods as Oblivion but its getting there... slowly. Unfortunately I never played Oblivion so I'm not really familiar with 99.99% of its mods so I can't make a compare. Oh, almost forgot, you'll defiantly want SkyUI.

The unofficial patches are good in relation to which DLCs you have.

Lots of body mods to choose from; CBBE (Comes in slim and curvy) and UNP (And UNPB) are your big two, just under that is CHSBHC and ADEC, then you have a few others.

CHSBHC has a body animation called BBP and you'll find here on the forums TBBP (A mod spawned from the idea of BBP) which can be used for every body type.

I'll toss in now since you're new, you defiantly want "ShowRaceMenu Precache Killer". Skyrim's character editing is highly unstable and this ultra simple mod simply stops precaching which normally lags or locks up Skyrim or even CTD. Unmoded you wont see it much but as you add hair, warpaints, scars, eyes, HD textures, and so on you'll quickly overwhelm it as it tries to load every single thing before it lets you edit.

Best thing to do is just lurk. And I highly recommend visiting the Nexus and browsing the top listed files as well as G.E.M.S. for a lot of your meat and bones to get you started. Other than that just surf here and just flip through page after page of 'What mod is this' threads. I'm sure you'll find things you're after.

For your body requirements, keep an eye out on the "Bodyslide" - a make your own utility for bodies (armours are becoming compatible with this as well. custom armour for any shape! :D )

Colourwheels overhauls? If you mean skimpy armour.... maybe killerkeo's armors?

Also, as Vibe has suggested, get SkyUI.  Similiar concept to DarnifiedUI from Oblivion - a better menu so you don't claw your eyes out dealing with the console-designed menus.

The adult side of Skyrim modding can certainly be confusing at times. In an effort to not redistribute mods without permission, there tend to be a lot of 'prerequisite' packages. I wish the community was a bit less sensitive about this sort of thing but that's just the way it is.

Note that a lot of body mods require custom armor as well, so if you want to play the game normally with custom armor, I recommend the recently released Transmogrification mod.

However, if you want mods that simply improve the gameplay experience, you want to go to Skyrim Gems.

And for keeping your mods in order so things don't get too confusing, I recommend Mod Organizer. No more problems with not knowing if you should overwrite a file - Mod Organizer keeps every mod in a separate box puts them in-game with the load order you set (easily tweakable later) when the game is launched.

You don't really need "custom" armors, although most of them look better than the vanilla stuff, just armor that is tweaked for the specific body type you're using. There are vanilla replacers for both UNP and CBBE and I think skimpy ones for UNP, UNPB, CBBE and ADEC.

And while Transmogrification might be nice I think it's rather boring to run around with the same armor 24/7.

You can switch armors out easily. And you seem to have misunderstood me - in this context, ANY armor that has been tailored specifically for a body mod is 'custom armor', so that includes vanilla replacers. Most body mods do not have complete vanilla replacers, which is why I was recommending Transmogrification.

Thank you both. The main thing I have an issue with, is picking which body mod. Like with Oblivion, there were tons, from the many HGEC, DMRA, BDM, and the various others. So... Pretty much... If I go with something with Bodyslide, I should go with this? http://www.loverslab.com/topic/3207-calientes-body-v3-cbbe-plus-bodyslide-updated-130/

Again, thank you for the quick, AND informative replies. ^.^

That Transmogrification looks awesome! While in the thread, someone commented that they thought it was silly, but as someone that used many custom armors in Oblivion, I can see the great use of this. Clean out 'uber' custom armor, or never debate over "I found this enchanted armor, but it makes me look like a vagabond!" Thank you, for shelling out the money, and then letting use have access to it! I do hope that Light to Heavy modcomes out soon. ^.^

While I enjoy Vanilla replacers, a lot of times (in Oblivion) I liked being the 'Hero'. The Unique one. Thankfully, someone did a Player only DMRA replacer. So the Transmog thing looks pretty good, at least to me. ^.^

Anywho, thank you all, again for your timely replies. I wish I could do more for LL, than lurk, and admire what some very talented people have done, but... I can't. :< So, back to lurking. Let's hope more Lovers with PK stuff comes over to Skyrim. ^.^ ~will miss the rape. :<~

P.S. : Sorry about the wall of text. :<

You can find CBBE and UNP on the Nexus, CBBE will come with its sliders here http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2666

The body slide will be included in the NMM install and can be found in tools folder in your skyrim data folder once its installed. You can thusly edit your nude body. Be warned that armors will not comply to such changes (They will default to whatever body the person used) and you will have to edit the armor yourself if you want to have your exact custom shape or ask someone else to kindly do it for you. However if you scower here there are additional body slider scripts for the slider that can really allow you to make a unique body.

Check this thread out

http://www.loverslab.com/forum/33-skyrim-adult-mods/

also look for C+++ in lovers lab and you can find C PLUS PLUS PLUS on nexus now. There is also a few DMRA bodytypes that I have but they are ll finished, no bounce, boobs are like stiff as boards but big like real fake implants... LMAO. But in my own opinion with the clothes, body type, and regular updating it has to be the Manga body or the DM body from Ledo4ek. Plus his conversions are bad ass.

Well, after a day or two of experimentation ( thanks a TON  to Bonnie Lass and her suggestion of Mod Manager, which keeps mods uninstalled, so you can try, tweak, and if you don't like, uninstall easily, with no tracking down file names and paths ), I have seen that, like Bonnie suggested, again, it's not modded like Oblivion.

So, when this question is raised again (which I am sure it will be, a ton of times, he he he), I wish it to be known, that, you guys were awesome in your help. ^.^

I got a good looking body (Went with CBBE, and did some armors with Bodyslide support). Though it's not DMRA, it's still very chesty, with a nice bounce. ^.^ But, like L3gion mentions, there are some incredibly large breasts out there, but, the armor choices are... So very limited.

BUT! There is the main thing, thank you all LL, for being such a great, warm, welcoming community! I will lurk more, and hope one day, I can contribute like you guys do. ^.^ ( Though I am not a modder. :< )

Edit #1: Oh, and another comment, which I think I forgot to comment on:

Bolded for the part I forgot about. Colorwheel's Sexy Oblivion Overhaul was more than just short robes and sexier Guard armor. It changed all the Guards to female, beautified the beast races, and gave elves a more appealing appearance. It also added in followers, sexy walks, face textures, body textures, new stores, and a ton. If there was one mod that is standard in my Oblivion installs, that was #1.

Edit #2: Thought I should add in what you guys helped me achieve. ^.^ So attached a picture. ^.^

It's generally not a good idea to update bmps. If you need a good lossless format, use PNG.

>.< I was waiting for the upload after I tested the attachment. LOL!
