Sophxx Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 Hey guys! I wanted to install WW for the first time, I had everything as it needed to be, scripts etc. on, the two-files containing folder in the mod folder, also it shows up on the right places in my game, the sims are naked if you create a new sim but everything else doesn’t work. Nothing WW related pops up, no actions, no character traits...it just won’t work no matter what I do. I also removed all my other mods from the game but it still won’t work...even though I did everything right and got the right version....Im not totally technically stupid but this freaks me out. (drug Basemental works somehow without any problems) help a real sex worker out ?
Crashdown117 Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 Just to be on the safe side: You have two WW files (one .package and one .ts4script file) within a subfolder of Mods, right? In other words, the path looks something like "Documents/EA/TS4/Mods/WickedWhimsMod" (bear in mind, that TS4 Legacy has its own folder), and these two files show up under their respective category (one under each) in that little pop-up window at game start (i.e. the main menu screen)? I'm asking, because it sounds, like the script might not be read properly by the game - which usually is due to the file being buried to deep within mods or the download archive not being unpacked (by the way, I made both those mistakes when I first set up WW). Second thing to take care of: Delete "localthumbcache.package" found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4". This is something you should always do after making changes to your Mods folder, so your game isn't "haunted by memories of old files" (and no, I don't know exactly what this file is for - other than giving you trouble). Step three: Double-check that both "custom content" and "script mods" are enabled in the game settings. You might want to disable and then re-enable those, if you're like me and believe in the fabled magic of "unplugging the device, then plugging it back in". Even without any additional animations, you should now see a purple notification appear, after loading into any household, and then a green one shortly afterward. That's when you know, that WW is present in your game. If it still doesn't work, delete both the WW files and "localthumbcache", before starting over from square one with a fresh download of WW.
