k20383 Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Ok I had a mod that gave female werewolves bigger breast , I uninstalled that mod and made sure by manually checking game files that they were all gone. I also use AFT when I tell Aela to change she still uses the mesh from the mod I uninstalled and is purple, even after reinstalling Moonlight Tales Essentials. So I started a new female character and changed myself tried vanilla skin and female skin from moonlight tales all is fine, went to Aela and used AFT to make follower and told her to change and she is still using same mesh and is purple. How is this possible with the mesh and esp for that mod gone and on a new character. Here is mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10989/
Husky1o1 Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Because the mods overwrites files from "Primal Matriarch" or "Femal Werewolf". You need to re-install those or at least re-install the mesh and textures which Aela has overwritten.
ChrisHPZ Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 A bit of advice, it's never a good idea to uninstall mods on a current game in progress. The exception to this rule are mods which don't have an .esp file. So one such option is to re-install the Female Werewolf mod, BUT remove or disable the esp file. I don't know what mod manager, if any you use, so I can't really give specific instructions on the esp part.
k20383 Posted October 16, 2020 Author Posted October 16, 2020 The mod in the link has been gone for over a year so it wasn't in the game when this character was created, but for some reason NMM didn't remove the meshes or textures just the esp, I removed the textures and meshes today and went through the game folders and made sure that all files from that mod were gone. Funny thing is that when you first get lycanthropy in the underforge she didn't do this, she used the La Femme skin that is in Moonlight tales, but when I got her as a follower and she changed when asked or by AFT health threshold she used that old mesh and the mod in link. Then I created a female character today and changed her with Moonlight tales through MCM and for a split second you will see that old mesh and purple but it goes to skin i selected, female npcs stay with that old mesh and purple. Guess I will try to install that mod and disable esp to see if it does anything.
Heroine HoneyCrotch Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 here is the vanilla mesh. meshes.actors, werewoldbeast, character assists, nif.7z
Heroine HoneyCrotch Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 That mod you used looked funny in xedit, you might need to dump uploaded files into data and load skyrim.esm in xedit, and look where i'm at and make sure your female model knows it is supposed to be looking for malebodywerewolf_1.nif
Heroine HoneyCrotch Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 this is what you want to see [spoiler/] this is what that mod might of done to you skyrim.esm [spoiler/]
k20383 Posted October 17, 2020 Author Posted October 17, 2020 The game was using a file from MNC that just happens to be the same as the mesh from the mod I linked, so I took the mesh from Moonlight Takes I wanted to use and renamed it to the same and put it in place of MNC mesh and it uses that one, now I just have to figure out how to make it use the eye texture from Moonlight Tales, cause body is right but now eyes are purple, if I can't get it to use the eye texture I'll just put the other mesh back in MNC. Anyway thanks for the help form everyone and for the file which got me to find what the problem was.
