bernt92 Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 Hi! Today when I tried to start MO to play Oldrim, the application suddenly wouldn't start. The logo popped up and then nothing happened. I opened task manager and saw the mod organizer application running, but I couldn't open it. I have now tried for a few hours and I've also restarted my laptop, but the problem persists. Yesterday I had no problems starting the application. I can't figure out what the problem is. I have the old version of MO, MO1 still and haven't changed to M02 since it seemed like too much work with all the mods I have installed. And I've tried M02 before but couldn't link it to my mod order and mods so I went for the old version. Anyone that have an idea why the application won't start all of a sudden? Any help appreciated! I can't play my game now and it sucks..

All you need to do is keep your \mods and \profiles folders from MO1 and point them to your new MO2 install. Doesn't sound too much work TBH. Hard to say exactly what's wrong when you're using unsupported software. Most people using MO have move to MO2 already. But things shouldn't just stop working, if you made no changes to MO or related files, it might be a recent Windows update or updates from another source interfering.
firedanzigdog67 Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 I'm no expert at any of this stuff, but it's good to try to rule things out one at a time when troubleshooting. For example, try launching Skyrim regularly and see if it crashes. Maybe the problem is with Skyrim itself and/or Steam, and not your MOs.
