regkar Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 I tried loading mods onto original game and it crashede every time.I tried using FNVEdit but it failed too.I play offline with steam and tried to revalidate but that was a joke.Steam is a noshow as far as support goes so I come here.I deactivated all mods and deleted game and reinstalled from my original fallout NV disk.Still it crashes.I must be missing a file but have no idea which one.HELP!!!! Â

Then I go to the folder that holds the game files and I wipe it all out everything into the trash go out of the folder and delete that as well I also clean out the mod folder that holds the mods as well because when you turn them back on new stuff will be added and if it's not something that will get overwritten that will end up staying in there and maybe end up causing problems. Then I do the reinstall that way everything is gone and there is no chance of something being left behind to cause a problem later.   Also where are you installing the game too? Some have problems with their games if they are installed into the program folder. If it's installed there try uninstalling it and installing it into your game folder instead.  Also are your computer components up to snuff for running the game? Maybe downloading the latest drivers from where ever your system updates them from check graphics drive video card and so forth might also help. regkar Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 well a funny thing happened after reading your reply:I was hacked again.Not the first time either.This and all of the many computers I have assembled and still owned were physically assaulted be persons unknown while I was out and about .Oh. and those I assembled and gave away. There's an old saying never a borrower or a lender be.Some people if one could call them that,will bite the hand that feeds them.Have I offended anyone ,perhaps,but then I don't hack someone's computer to steal information ie.:Identity theft. Me I don't care if it's an inny or an outy crime is all the same.Once when I tried my hand at creating games there was no monitor just a teletype,ticker tape and crossed fingers hoping it was typed right. later with the commadore it was peek and poke apperently the clown missed my eyes HaHa!I once tried to be a dev but had I succeeded I would have taken a copyright infrengement suit in the pocketbook.If this ryply gets me banned from this site,so be it since my problems occurred soon after I tried one of the mods.

myuhinny Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Well I use zone alarm have never had a problem with anything getting in or out if it's not suppose to. What mods did you download from here? If they were some of the adult ones many of those need many other things to work and if you don't have them installed then it will cause problems. If you are sharing a network you can set it up so that they can't be linked together that way if something happens to one it doesn't happen to all of them. I use a router and when the other person using the router bought a new computer that one linked to mine after it was installed but I killed that right away and made it so nothing can be seen from that computer and I can't see anything from my computer. Otherwise if one gets hacked/infected it will spread like wild fire to every single computer linked in that network.
regkar Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 Eventualy found the problem> I had deleted all from Fallout with the exception of a hidden file. No see no delete. what we did to correct was to add all the files on fallout disk one at a time to a new file,then delete it. After that fallout would load automatically.
