Is there a mod that makes spouse npc? I am playing with multiple wives and find it difficult to control all of them.

If I understand correctly you already have multiple wives but your active household is now full?

(Since you must already have mod/s that allow multiple marriages).

Spouses don't have to live with you as you can move them out using split/merge in the 'manage households' menu.

After moving a new one into your active family and marring them just move one out, or as many as you want.

As long as they have enough $$ to buy another house, you can cheat more money if needed.

You could even have 8 wives living in another household, or lot, they can be played or non-played.

In theory you could be married to every townie in the game but still live alone as you don't have to manage any of them.

You can also make them pregnant and have them take care of the kids, lol.

(But not sure if they can be homeless spouses as I've never tried it before).

Hi ! Thank you for the fast response.

Ah I never thought of that, will try it.

Though I do want them around most of the time but

micromanaging can be hassle.

Managing 1-2 sims is easy, and 3-4 sims isn't too bad either and I it found to be around the best if you really must have multiple sims.

But when you have more it starts to be a pain sometimes unless you use some cheats like MCCC to help fill their needs on occasion.

Especially in the morning when most of them are either heading out to school or work there often isn't enough time to get them all ready.

Adding some trait rewards(cheats) like Steel Bladder, Seldom Sleepy, etc., will relieve some of the micromanagement pressures.

Another workaround idea is using LittleMsSams Roommates mod but it requires the University EP to work and no teens.

(Although there is another mod to allow teens to go to College but I never tried it).

Sims must be homeless to become Roommates though and I don't think you can marry them without kicking them out first.

(The game itself picks NPC college roommates to add if your active sim goes away to a college dorm)

The idea is you don't control them but they live with you and even pay rent, all you need to do is assign each one a bed.

Sometimes they leave for school and return later and can use all the items in the house like normal but they mostly hang around and pester your active sim for talk,

and sex if you have WW installed that is.

Your main player sim doesn't need to go to University for the Roommates mod to work though.

Most townies, or newly created sims, can be made homeless just by using the 'manage households' menu anyway.

And you can always move them back to where they came from later on.

I played around with this before and works quite well for having 'live ins' you don't need to manage.

Sorry for all the rambling details...

I had built a large single level house like a dorm with 7 small rooms with beds and one larger room with a double bed for my active sim.

Plus a large community bathroom with 3 showers and 3 toilets.

Hi thanks for the clarification ! I find it very clear. LittleMsSams Roommates mod seem interesting, the homeless part however I am not too sure of. So I'd have to move/evict them first before assigning as roommates?

I just did a little test myself so maybe I can explain a little better.

Had another unplayed household, in a house, with a mom and teen daughter so I switched to play that household temporarily.

(Best to do this with a 2 sim + family at least).

Made the teen my active sim and used MC Command Center to make them quit school first (yes teens can go to Uni with the cheat).

Then shift + click on them and find the Join University cheat and enroll them.

Pick the University and classes and for housing you pick another off campus household rather than Uni dorms.

(Be sure to give them $20,000 when they move out).

(They don't start classes for 2 days so you have plenty of time).

When the map comes up for them to choose where to live just cancel and it will make them homeless and become 'other households' in 'manage households' menu.

Now switch back to your other main player household.

You add your new lot trait for LMS Roommates now, unless you've already done so.

Click on your sim, or phone, and find the LMS Roommates menu and open it.

You should see quite a few available roommates now so look for the new one you just made and select them.

They will show up in a little bit so assign them a bed first.

Sometimes University Sims have some unwanted hidden traits assigned that I just hate.

Use MCCC click on sim and select MCCC/CAS/Manage Traits/Remove Traits or Add Traits.

Carefully look through the hidden traits at the top for anything university, except for the 'enrolled at university' one.

The normal sims traits are more towards the bottom and you can add/remove those too.

Sometimes I cheat by adding some trait rewards for them like Steel Bladder, etc.

OPTIONAL:

By using the 'Control Any Sim' mod I can now click on my roommate and make them active to check them out and make them do homework, eat, etc.

But they aren't really part of the household as you can't add or delete their inventory.

You can keep track of their class times to make sure they go to classes.

When it gets close to class time I just click on them and select Active/Don't Control Sim.

They will then leave for class in a bit and return later.

So far everything works like a charm.

But I haven't tried leaving them as a controlled sim yet to see if that works or not.

If you forget to make a sim un-controlled after they leave just open up the relationship panel on the right and click/select Active/Don't Control Sim.

Sometimes when splitting/moving sims around they might still show up in the household they just left and show up in the active household as

still controlled but 'away' so it must just be a limitation of the mod itself.

Not sure but I think if you save and exit game and delete the localthumbcache.package it will clear them for the next game start.
