Issue with Bodyslider mismatch (I know...)

I'm sorry - I've seen there are other posts in the past for similar things but I've tried to fix this on my own and can't seem to get it working.  

I have this issue with Bodyslider and CBBE: when I build a preset in Bodyslide (or download one) the result looks correct for female bodies wearing armors, but it looks very off on naked female bodies. They look smaller and saggy. Maybe something is overwriting the preset but I can't figure how it's possible.  

 

I use MO2 so what I do for presets is this:  

- Open BS

- Make the changes to the body so they work in the preview

- Batch build to a custom directory (ctrl click), and I remove from the list everything with Physics (I don't use them), remove nevernude and remove underwear options (don't use them). After this BS tells me to choose between CBBE Body and CBBE Body Special, I tried selecting either one of them but the result is still what I mentioned above

-I take the mesh folder and put them in the ovewrite folder of MO2, then right click on overwrite -> create a mod  (this procedure is very new to me, I haven't played Skyrim or used MO in ages; but I'm following it from some YT tutorials I saw)

 

I tried to modify the load order with what looks like it might have an impact but to no avail. I am attaching 2 files with my load order, could you guys let me know what am I screwing up?

Is it for NPCs, PC or both?

I can not see any mods in your list that alter the standard path for bodies.

 

Try building only the female bodies, 

you need too choose body, feet, and hands + hands beast. 

Then "create a new mod" from overwrite.

 

Open and see if the path is: ....\meshes\actors\character\character assets\

There it should be:

-femalebody_0.nif 

-femalebody_1.nif

-femalefeet_0.nif

-femalefeet_1.nif

-femalehands_0.nif

-femalehands_1.nif

-femalehandsargonian_0.nif

-femalehandsargonian_1.nif

and possibly the same files once more only without the "_0/1.nif" and ".tri" instead.

 

If they are all there, everything should be ok as long as nothing is overwriting it.

 

If the problem is the "new" preset u made from another one in BS2, try saving it with a new name and close/reopen BS2 and rebuild with your new preset.

remember that physics isn't shown in bodyslide. If your female has physics in her breasts, they're going to look slightly different when in game, and possibly even more different dependent on how much your CBPC is acting (ie floppy vs firm) 

 

In addition, depending on your body model and the clothing/armor you've chosen, what you see when she's clothe d my be entirety different than what you see when she's unclothed. 

 

For instance I have a CBBE-3BBB body on my female. If I don a CBBE armor or bit of clothing, her 3BBB body is replaced by the reference CBBE body the author used when creating the armor/clothing, even if I fit it thinking I'm using my 3BBB body preset.

Thanks for the details, the file list is exactly as you say, but while looking that up and with your hint I ended up finding out the problem: it turns out it's the pubic hair mod. Looking it up, I had missed in the comments that apparently it's not compatible with Bodyslide (unless doing some shenanigans that I'm not gonna try). I wasn't aware stuff could be for CBBE  but not compatible for Bodyslide but I guess that's on me.

 

Do you guys happen to know another mod for pubic hair (female NPC only, also doesn't have to be 3d)?

I saw that one but unless I'm mistaken it's for player PC only (if I understood the thread correctly it also maybe works on NPC but I think you still need to have a female PC)

Afaik it can be applied to both the player (if female) and any NPC (female) via the SOS MCM

 

obviously females only since it's a female pubic hair addon....

 

Since I installed it a while back and  use it for my female player, I'll boot up my male player (that guy in the upper left corner there) and see if I can apply it to a female NPC and post back later, but I'm pretty sure it can be applied to any female humanoid (ie nord, breton, elven, redcoat, etc) . Can't say for custom races but you can find out for yourself if you want. 

 

Checked for a human follower. Indeed you can. I didn't go any further, because, well because I'm feeling lazy. One should be enough to dispel your fears. If you need more install it and check for yourself. It should work on any targeted female, at least of the humanoid subspecies
