RW311 Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 I did a quick test and imported your fixed facegen.nif head onto my existing character and it works fine with expressions and face parts. So you could skip all this other stuff and just go look up how to make an npc from a racemenu preset and just use your existing facegen and import it onto an npc you create that way. There is no reason to create new race for a human npc unless you are making a huge project with custom body and animations, just use what is in the game and you can still make npc very unique even using existing races, actor data field allows for a lot of customization of character appearance and ai an voice etc...
cantdownload22 Posted September 20, 2020 Author Posted September 20, 2020 the guide i followed for the follower creation part in Ck certainly did what you suggest but that only works if your femalehead.nif is not a custom mesh thats ported from another game, since i have a custom model from mk11 and the textures were made custom and tweaked with GIMP i don't want to have to retweak everything for tint and even if i did it still wouldnt work , i just need to fix this error , its a single error it has to have a solution. thanks for testing it though rw311 , its good to know it works at least one way or the other , even tough im sure what you saw in your game when you imported the face must've barely resembled the actual model i created.
cantdownload22 Posted September 20, 2020 Author Posted September 20, 2020 so regardless of my train of tought , i did what you said and it didn't fix the error , but i think it might've fixed the animations regardless, their still janky af but hey its better than nothing so thank you Edit : OH YES BABY , i finally got it to work , not sure which part of what i did was the fix but i removed all presets and skin presets from the Race in creation kit , i also double checked the femalehead entry in ck and turns out it had the wrong path for the femalehead.tri / femalechargen /femaleBrows / femaleRaces i turned those to default , this is all after having nifMerged the CharGen faceGeom from racemenu (created by importing my headmeshe's faceGeom) into my headmeshe's faceGeom(nifMerge target) , and the final and i think most important thing that fixed it was that i Ticked all FaceMorphs in the HeadParts in the Race in Ck for LipSync/nose/etc and the final product is a fully functioning fully Custom Mesh and Race NPC ! i wrote the process here as archive for when i create a tutorial for this procedure of porting a Custom model using blender and nifskope into skyrim. A Huge Thanks To Andy and RW311 for helping me through this ! (mostly andy though he was there from start to finish ❤️ )
