cronos12 Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Hey, I just reinstalled my whole game with all the mods and utilities and Outfit Studio among it. Thing is that when I open models in it they look fine with all the body parts in place, but when I open it in nifskope or use ingame the meshes are positioned somewhere else. Outfit Studio is showing it wrong somehow and I didnt find anyone with the same problem. Please help
Dorabella Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 A screen of OS, Nifskope and, in game will help, but you almost certainly have incompatible meshes / textures
VersuchDrei Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 I had this exact issue when trying to convert the somewhat skimpy dragonscale armor to UUNP. I solved it by opening the ShapeData nif in Nifskope, selecting the affected nodes and using the Translation property in the Block Details window to adjust it to the body (luckily for me it were pretty round numbers, I think 3 and -3 or something like that). After that building the armor in BodySlide worked just fine. The only issue is whenever you want to edit it in Outfit Studio you have to move it back and forth.
Arizona_Steve Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 It's hugely problematic when editing facegen meshes (yes, I use Outfit Studio to fix those stupid anime elf ears on some of the more attractive followers). The head and hair are in the correct position, the remainder of the face parts are somewhere below.

cronos12 Posted August 25, 2020 Author Posted August 25, 2020 Also this is happening to all my outfits...they look fine in Outfit Studio, but not in nifskope and ingame...I just converted them with SSE nif optimizer

Even if related to a follower, the method is valid for all SSE mods How to use : Spoiler Install Cathedral Assets Optimizer by extracting in a seperate folder. Extract the follower in a seperate folder. Start the program, choose "Tes5" under "Profile" and under "open directory" navigate to the folder, where you extracted your follower. Chose folder meshes and chose the program for meshes (full optimisation) in Cathedral Assets Optimizer. Run the program. Do the same for textures. Chose "necessary optimisation", "compress textures" and "generate mipmaps" Run the program. Repack your Follower with the esp and install it with a modmanager of your choice. There is a little error in the heather of the esp but the Follower will work. Just reapply them How to re apply textures with Nifskope Spoiler When finished: File / save to overwrite the nif Repeat the steps for any nif that Nifskope detects without textures
