Horologia Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 For a sweet while now i was playing with a whole load of mods. I tried to get Deadly Mutilation working, but i failed sadly and abborted. However, somehow i broke my HDT Hairs in the process They now appear static suddenly, reverting to an earlier save or making a new character doesn't fix it. Cell-Change doesn't fix it too. (Sometimes there is one or two hairstyles in race menu that have part of the hair animated funny enough) The HDT Logfile isn't showing anything out of order (allthough, i have no clue what would be out of order, nothing is flagged "ERROR" or such) I am using Vortex, SKSE, UNPB Body, (if that has any relevance), build through bodyslide (UNP physics) and pretty much every Hairstyle YPS-Immersive Fashion recommends. Also XP32 Maximum Skeleton with physics, as i read for the physics to work it has to have the correct bones (or something?) Some Questions additionaly: Do i need to load HDT Physics extension BEFORE Bodyslide or AFTER? (According to Vortex, there is a file conflict between those two. But i allready tried moving it up or down the load order) Breast and Butt Physics work fine, also the hairs have worked fine before, even with DVA which is said to cause troubles with faces and thus hair. But all of a sudden it simply doesn't. Any ideas, or hints of where to start looking for the problem (and how?) I have modded for a while and have a rough idea, but far away from knowing the inner workings of all my mods or skyrim itself, so handle me like a novice user. The hdtphysics.log provided Is me starting in Breezehome (Cell, no other NPC), then walking outside to whiterun and back inside Breezehome (So it should start and end with only one character, mine) The Modlist provided is... I don't know how to print out the load-order with vortex. This here is only showing which plugins i have, but i recall vaguely that some mods don't have/need plugins. If this information is not sufficient, please tell me and i happily supply Thanks in advance, you good people! EDIT: Found out the DINT Hairpack is behaving different. When i take HDT from KS Hairdos, the hair is physics enabled while in race menu, once i save and close it becomes solid again. Some hairstyles do indeed work with physics enabled too. I am really out of ideas now... hdtPhysicsExtensions.log loadorder.txt
C5Kev Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Hello H. I'd just try reinstalling your offending hair mods (and the HDT hair add-on mods as well, but Dint's sounds OK or unaffected). I don't know anything about Deadly Mutation, but it could have done something weird when you blew it out. Yeah, KS is a big mod, but at least you'll know afterward whether something else could be causing the problem. The "HDT Physics Extensions" mod can be placed anywhere in you load order if I'm not mistaken. Shouldn't matter. Dint's hair is awesome!

I tried that one allready with no success sadly Now i am up to the slow process of rebuilding my modlist.

Sorry to hear that. We all know HDT hair can sometimes get wonky, but your problem seems quite odd. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. No worries. It's working now as it seems. I disabled each and every mod on Vortex, and started with hdt physics, reinstalled the hair mod and noticed the hair was wonky (but not solid!) Learned, hdt hair is indeed dependend on a skeleton. Got XP32 back and voilá! Worked! Now i slowly reinstall all my other mods and see how it goes. For the next one with such an issue: Also check your skeleton. Seems like the problem can come from it
