I need help setting BHNP

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have been installing and uninstalling stuff for hours trying to get the jiggle physics to work. T_T

I got CBPC and the requirements.

Got requirements for BHUNP, Installed it, but no Physics on NPC.

I am not sure if I am selecting the wrong stuff during installation, or if the game will not apply the mod except during a New Game. At this point I am not sure if it applies to NPC.

I just want some physics during the animations for NPCs.

TY in advance for the help.

Hmm...If I understand your dilemma correctly, you want your followers (or some NPCs) to have jiggle-oont-bounce

First, I don't see HDT-SMP noted, so I'll presume you already have HDT-SMP installed (if you're using Skyrim 1.5.97)

edit: If you are running in 1.5.97 and do not already have HDT-SMP installed, install it, check to see if it works now.

If it still doesn't work.... and presuming you have BHUNP installed (ideally the full blown thing, with the optional CBPC ini insertion too) , AND presuming you're trying to get an older "static" **UNP-ish Based**  follower mod to have physics:

  1. Open Bodyslide
  2. Open settings
  3. Click Advanced
  4. In Output Path, browse to a folder where you will output the Bodyslide generated meshes for the follower. (we will reset this Bodyslide setting later on). This is a staging folder. we'll move these into play later in this process. FWIW, I create named working folders for each of the followers I work on so I can refer to them later if needed.
  5. Click OK

Here, things get a little bit tricky, since Bodyslide uses CBBE textures, and they appear distorted on the BHUNP and UNP based meshes and editing within bodyslide becomes challenging,

  1. Select the BHNUP Advanced body you're going to use to create the follower's new mesh files (and tri files for racemenu!!!)
  2. Select the Bodyslide preset you want to use. If you're matching a UNP based image of the follower, you're going to have to use your mind's eye on the breasts, since the texture mismatch is gonna screw with what you see. Have no fear though. Once in game, if you keep using your follower's native texture, everything's golden.  And that happens to be the plan
Note: I like to save at least one (generally two to provide a more demur option in addition to the nude) preset for each follower for clothes fitting downstream.
  3. Tweak body as needed (or leave things flat and do all your adjustments via racemenu later)
    - If you install  The Manipulator, it provides an interface to a parsed down version of racemenu for followers (no camera control, no load/save presets, no sculpting, but all the "normal" body tweaks can be done), so you can escape some of the visual frustration of trying to use Bodyslide on a UNP-ish body, and you get a full in game preview
  4. Build body - check Build Morphs
  5. Build associated feet and hands - check Build Morphs

Now to incorporate:

  1. Navigate to the folder that contains your follower's meshes
    (ex: .../steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Data/meshes/actors/character/FollowerSha/ )
  2. Create a backup folder called... backup
    (ex: .../steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Data/meshes/actors/character/FollowerSha/backup/ )
  3. Move femalebody_0.nif, femalebody_1.nif, femalefeet_0.nif, femalefeet_1.nif, femalehands_0.nif, femalehands_1.nif to the backup folder
You may find a skeleton in the follower's folder when you first open the folder. Some have them, some don't. If they do, I've found it best to move that to the backup as well, and then copy the standard female skeleton into the folder, since the new one from XMPSSE is up to spec for 3BBB operation whether BHUNP or CBBE-3BBB , and the old one may not be up to snuff.
  4. In a new instance of filemanager, navigate to the working folder you used for the settings change
    (ex: .../steamapps/common/Skyrim Special Edition/Data/meshes/actors/character/FollowerSha/ )
  5. Copy the six (6) nif files you built in Bodyslide from this folder, to the folder from step 1. (2 body, 2 feet, 2 hands)
  6. Copy the three (3) tri files created by Build Morphs in Bodyslide from this folder, to the folder from step 1 (1 body, 1 feet, 1 hands).

When you're all done playing, don't forget to go back to Bodyslide and reset the Output Path under Settings >> Advanced to blank so that it outputs normally again.

So now you should have an updated skeleton and physics, and you maintain your follower's skin tone, tats, blemishes, whatever... As seen in the images presented by the mod author. (body proportion excepted, since you have to tweak that using bodyslide and/or racemenu adjustments to match if that's the intent)

And ... if you hate what we just did, you can revert "no harm no foul" as easily as deleting the three tri files and replacing the 6 nif files with the ones you dropped into the backup folder (and skeleton too, if it exists)

In game, your follower should be in CBPC mode by default.  Make sure to pay attention to the BHUNP menu and set a different hotkey for CBPC/SMP switching than for the CBBE-3BBB MCM. also, make note of or change the hotkeys for the four different SMP modes.

In game, to apply say SMP B breast response to the follower (the primary switch button has little meaning for follower use afaik), click the associated hotkey (I think they're keypad 5,6,7,8 by default). Click it again to switch her back. This is useful when performing an SMP reset, btw,,,

sorry if TMI or off base.

TY for the reply.

To be more specific. I want the physics animations during sex animations. I still dont try editing stuff in bodyslide. I was assuming the mods had some visual effect in all NPC by just installing them. Is this process the easiest way to apply breast physics during sex animations with an NPC? I was hoping it apply to every NPC including random enemies during sex.

FTR, each body is built using a reference body. Some use UNP, some use CBBE, some use CBBE-3BBB, some use BHUNP, etc. Installing BHUNP by itself doesn't apply that body type to any NPC.

To be clear, by "jiggle-oont-bounce", I'm including sex. Afaik, most NPC females in the base game are by default static-UNP. and they have no physics (aside from being able to walk and fight), until those features are conveyed to them via assignment using Bodyslide and/or similar tools. And for males, no schlong unless you've installed SOS.

Afaik, if you want global changes  that affect *most NPCs, and presuming you have CBBE-3BBB installed, for females, you could do a batch build on all the bodies from bodyslide to convert their bodies to the newer standard, but be forewarned they'll all end up with your female's body. (there are other mods that can randomize  body proportions in newly met NPCs to randomize the various values so they don't all 100% duplicate.  (I suppose you could batch build using BHUNP as well, although I never tried it myself. Only the CBBE)

However, This will do nothing to custom followers, especially those created with old style (no physics or limited physics) body types.

For males, the same basic problem of missing equipment. SOS helps, but sometimes the males come unequipped anyway, so you have to fix them on the fly when it happens by targeting them, getting into the SOS MCM, and assigning one. This will reclothe them, so then you'll need to disrobe them and use hotkeys to reestablish their visible arousal state.

TY for the reply.

I see. So every NPC in game will have a static body unless I assign something different.

My computer is not very strong so I would be happy with some generic giggle applied to all npc during sex.

I had to delete all my mods some time ago, but before it, every npc had at least some belly bulge animation, I am not sure what I had installed. Not sure about the breast but I remember some belly bulge on every npc.

Installing BHUNP does not automatically assign any body to use the BHUNP model. you have to apply that model to the body(s) involved.

I see. Is there a mod that would do this for every npc or a different body that applies to all female, including generic enemies? Something with decent giggle animation and not too exaggerated proportions? I play as Male character so if the body wont apply to NPC it wont work for me.

Also, I just read something about havoc objects here that would trigger bouncing on NPC. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72030/? But it is not for SE

I don't know off-hand of a mod that will do it for you. As far as I know, until you use Bodyslide to assign a new model, they'll continue to use the one they were shipped with. Try rebuilding the standard female body using BHUNP.

As for the something in your second comment, CBPC and HDT-SMP provide the physics engines for CBP and SMP respectively in 2.0.17 and above.

Never tried Bodyslide. If I can replace the standard body with it it should apply to every NPC? Thanks for the info. I will look for some tutorials next time and try it. :D

I'm not sure but yes, I believe that setting the body type for the female player will result in female NPCs having her body. But again, I'm not sure. I did some unintentional batch replacements early on and ended up with all the female NPCs sharing an identical body, that of my female player. As for ALL npc (including special NPCs like Lydia and so forth), I'm not sure at all.

And for any specific follower/companion you've installed, if they have custom bodies, these bodies will either nattively support physics or they won't, and you'll need to do what I originally wrote to convert them. An example might be found in any number of follower companion downloads that are conversions and which have only a UNP body file or which use an otherwise static body. Look up Yuih Sha. you'll see that the download file choices are Seven Base, CBBE, etc. If you were to choose Sevenbase the result would look like the images (most of them anyway. author appears to use two different versions in his photos, but most appear to be based on the SevenBase type). If you install the CBBE version, her face will stil look the same, but her body will look like whatever CBBE female you have installed. If you want that look you saw in the photos, you need to either be satisfied by the static SevenBase body or you need to replace it using the technique I noted above.

You'll still need CBPC, HDT-SMP, and afaik something like Sinful CBP (these are what actually provides the physics...the body and its skeleton - XPMSSE 3BBB capable skeleton - just provide the mechanical aspects)

PS> I'm no expert. Just another hack player who's worked things out for himself so things work as I expect them to, so it wouldn't surprise me if someone else shows up and suggests a different course of action.

I see. Just in case I will ask for the mod combination to get the npc sex animations working with breast jiggles even if it requires a different body type. TY for the help. If I cant find a simple solution I will try the bodyslide. :) As I said I dont want something too complicated, just some jiggle during animations.
