Everyone is in Underwear (Fusion Girl and Body Talk)

I was getting my Fallout 4 modded up for lewd times. I started by downloading the basics, skeleton then the nude mods. Everything seemed to be working fine. Would load up my game, and nudity was working A-Okay. I move into getting AAF, animations, and MCG installed and suddenly everyone is back in their underwear. I tried uninstall/reinstall on Fusion Girl and Body Talk more times than I can count. I've tried removing several of the mods to see if one of them is overriding the nude models. Right now I have most everything unticked to try and figure out what is causing this.

The only people I've seen have similar issues involved "Unique Player" but I don't use that. I think I run the game fairly basically. Anyway, here's my list (Mod Manager 2)

You can see I've turned off Bodytalk right now as well, because I want to get at least ONE of the nude mods working again before I move on.

Any help that can be provided is much appreciated. Or even so much as a pointer to a helpful thread I might have missed.

I don't use the same mods as you but when this has happened to me it's usually because I forgot to rebuild the body in Bodyslide. Not sure if that's your problem but worth a try

I had a feeling this might be the problem. But it's been so long since I touched Bodyslide. And for some reason the dropdown menus are empty. Is this related? Do I got it set to the wrong folder? Also, thank you for the reply.

Yes that's definitely related, it looks like Bodyslide doesn't know where your sliderset folders are. They should be in ...\Fallout 4\Data\Tools\BodySlideData/ with the Bodyslide exe

Didn't see BodySlideData but I did find Fallout 4\Data\Tools\BodySlide is that correct? The drop menus are still blank, though. Thanks for the continued help.

I managed to get the drop down menu to work by manually dragging over the body slide folder from the Fusion Girl folder in my Mods folder. Is this looking right or have I made a major mistake? Still not sure how to get rid of the undies problem though.

Yes that's correct (sorry the Body/ was a typo in my message)

Which mod manager are you using as you shouldn't need to manually place them (you'll have similar issues with BodyTalk and other armour mods). I use NMM but if you're using MO2 I think Bodyslide is handled a bit differently and you'll need to ask someone that uses MO2 what to do

I've been using MO2, because it's "supposedly" the best one. I haven't had problems with needing manually move anything until today. I've been using it for a while for non-lewd mods. But anyway, thanks for the help so far.

I was able to find the Fusion Girl body and clicked "build," but loading up hasn't changed the result of being stuck in undies.

No I don't think it will work. I have a vague memory of reading that in MO2 you have to run it from MO2 as it builds it's own virtual directories, but I could be wrong as I don't use it. Anyway you're on the right track now

Going to try and figure out how to get BodySlide hooked up to MO2. Thanks for the help. I'll shout when I've got an update.

I managed to get BodySlide working out of MO2 and batched all the outfits, but still stuck in undies unfortunately. Any other advice?

After the batches have you built the body afterwards using the Build button in the centre, under Preview you always need to do that last after the batch build (same with Skyrim)

Aside from that, all I can think of is that you may have installed a nevernude option.

Followed the instructions to the letter (with the exception that I am installing Fusion Girl and not CBBE), or least I believe I have done so, setting everything up properly after deleting everything. Set the bodyslide as it's own mod, ticked it. But unfortunately nothing, still in undies.

If there's ANY information I can provide to help, please let me know.

Tried switched to CBBE. No luck. Don't know if I could bite the bullet and switch to Nexus Mod Manager. That'd be a lot of effort.

I can't see that changing mod managers would help, otherwise everyone else would have the same problem.

I don't know FG but I do know CBBE fairly well both in FO4 and particularly Skyrim. Like load order the order of how you construct your bodyside files has the same precedence (i.e. last one takes precedence), hence why I have have to do a final build of my body (CBBE - Physics/CBBE Slim to avoid the problem you're having. This is caused (from memory) by one of the groups having all the bodies which it builds in the batch build and the last one built is the nevernude one, hence the bra and knickers.

It could be that but also check in the Options for the override settings as well just in case it's something set there. I always turn those off as I have a specific order I build my bodyslide files in. Beyond that, I'm a bit out of ideas I'm afraid, but I really can't see that changing to NMM would help unless you're doing something seriously wrong in MO2

Hmm, picture's worth a thousand words

Where on Bodyslide is the options for Override? Haven't had to use those before.

Also, followed your picture, set the body and preset, chose unassigned, then build. Loaded up the game and ... well ... still undies. Thanks for the commitment to help though.

Don't worry about the Unassigned, that's just one of the groups (you can see them all in Group Manager) as we're not using Batch Build it doesn't figure in this

Override is in Settings, sounds like you have it turned off or you'd probably get some warnings about what items it's choosing.

I'm not sure it would make any difference if you're running via MO2 but did you delete the manual copy you made of the slidersets?

Posted

Yes I went ahead and deleted the BodySlide I had in my Fallout 4\Data\Tools and am now using the one located in my ModOrganizer\Fallout 4\mods. So the manual slider sets are gone and it all loads automatically instead of me needing to do anything when I install a body. It loaded up fine when I tried CBBE and when I reinstalled FG.

I have no idea how it works with MO2 but would assume it creates it's own virtual slider sets or you'd not be able to customise your body, but that's outside my knowledge.

As a double check for the future you can always use the Preview button so you can see what you should be getting. Assuming you've built it if you get something different in game then it's a setup issue

I was getting previews that showed a complete body, but the video said to set the game path to ModOrganizer\Fallout 4\overwrite\ which, in turn, causes the preview to come up empty. Though the video said that is "supposed to happen."

Running out of options so I am going to try and set it to the normal Game Path, if I can remember it correctly.

Yeah, tried to set it to the actual Fallout folder, which again restored the preview, then used build, but still undies.

Definitely sounds like an MO2 setup issue then as you're getting different results (what shows in the preview should show in the game once built).

You could try asking in the Skyrim forums (I think there's a tutorial thread for MO2) as your issue is between MO2 and Bodyslide rather than game specific, or try asking in one of the FG or CBBE threads.

Alright, thanks for the advice. I may check there next. But I'll probably rest for tonight. Trying to get this thing to work is exhausting. Never had Fallout or anything else fight me this hard on a mod working.

Last ditch suggestion from something I saw in another thread, are you starting your game using MO2 rather than the F4SE desktop icon, as apparently everything has to run through MO2
