Need help on converting an armor mod [SOLVED]

So I am replaying Skyrim SE since a few weeks ago.

I used to have the mod "Barbaric Male Armor for SoS" (link below) installed as it is really sexy.

But now, for whatever reason, the mod author/converter decided to hide the mod and now I can't download it from nexusmod.

Found the Oldrim version (link below), but of course it get me nothing be CTDs.

I was never a modder, and has no knowledge of creating or porting mods, yet I am still clever enough to follow a step-by-step manual.

So I did the only logical thing to do, I ported the mod by following this tutorial:

It was a borderline success:

The game does not CTD on launched or on game save loaded.

I can forge it on an anvil, and it has no problem to display in inventory.

Yet whenever I try to equip it, the game just CTD.

And when I drop it onto the floor, it floats in the air and spits on gravity.

And as always, Papyrus log is absolutely useless.

Could anyone help me with debugging/converting this mod?

Well, the guide you used says itself in the description that it's obsolete, so I'm guessing that's your issue. It also gives a recommendation for Cathedral Assets Optimizer to do everything except updating the esp, which has its own instructions in the description. So, download CAO, use that for the meshes and textures, then use the CK to update the esp, and get back to us if there's any problems then. Good luck!
