I read on a strip club download page that in order for it to operate like a trip club I needed to have the paid version of Wicked Whims.  I have & am using it.  I have a strip club & a red-light district too but they aren't operating like they should.  Have I missed something else I need to have?  It seems like I need lot venue options I don't have like "strip club" or "red-light district".  Where do I get those if they exist?

No, Just the latest version of ww. Everything works fine for me. But you need to buy a stripclub with family ingame and do some setup work. I have 2 stripper poles and 3 loveseats, one bar. Everything works fine. Maybe read the page again?

I got it working.  My game doesn't work so well & I'm working on it.  I do have the strip club up & running.  I abandoned the red-light district for now.  The Hoe It Up mod didn't like my strip club & totally disabled it.  Like I said my game isn't working right & these issues & I had & am having are probably linked to that.  I've sought professional help for my problems-LOL

It may help to start with a fresh Mods folder. CC can produce strange issues.

I had some an_dz_*.package files which made sure that sims would freeze from time to time, often when entering or leaving the lot.I thought it must be a script mod as WW got an exception but it was outdated content.

I still have CC installed which makes the left breast invisible sometimes. But this one is harder to identify.

I have the same missing breast issue.  I have 5000+ mods so starting over is not an option for me.
