setrace help

Hi,

I have an actor with  racemenu exported head. He loads just fine. When I do setrace with a duplicate race the head is getting replaced with the blackface bug. How can I prevent this? Why does the exported head works fine but once I do setrace, with the same race basically, it breaks it?

Ya, I was trying to figure out a workaround for this with making vamp lord npc from facegen head.  Something the game just doesn't want you to do is dynamic race change of npc, seems like the slider reset on race change doesn't get corrected before the facegen head is loaded, or maybe the facegen head is not loaded at all and it tries to dynamically create a temporary one which can't work of course because whether the head is racemenu export or just has some custom hair head part it seems it won't load anything that is not in the games core bsa files.

Funny thing is, using setrace to go back to original race makes the head "normal" again. I guess I have to live with it. Nothing I tried like regeneratehead, disable/enable fixes it.

try with Setrace before importing the head?  Is your intent to change the breed for another head? For example a North, vampire?

My intention is to change the "Behavior Graph". Have one actor with two different sets of animations. If I understand FNIS correct, I can't simply "replace" some animations on the fly. That's when the Behavior Graph comes into play. I guess it is like RW311 said, the engine does not support changing races on the fly. The werewolf archetype seems to not work on NPCs, I already tried that.
