D_ManXX2 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 I have not seen this bug in long time but now when i have to complete the quest freedom call i need to meet the group in sanctuary all of this goes fine till i talk to preston goe through a few dialog then my character and preston are standing stairing at eachother normally you got a dialog option but now there is nothing just that cinematic part and it never finsihes ?? is their a way to fix this i need to get the quest for sturges and 1st minuteman but due to this bug i get neither ?

D_ManXX2 Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 yes i have will try that fix i have not seen this bug in sometim even with simsettlement. looks like i have a different bug even with bat file preston and player character still facing eachother and there is no dialog to continue.

Same for me I think the last time this happen was about the third time doing a play through a couple of year's ago and the other one was were he end's up on the roof of a build and you can't talk to him cus you can't reach him...
D_ManXX2 Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 normally you get 2 quest 1 for sturges to build sanctuary and the other to help a settlement now due to this bug you cant continue. is their a console command i can use to skip the dialog with preston ? so i instandly get the quest for sanctuary and the settlement that needs help ?

Recommended command for moving past bugged sections of quests rather than forcing the entire quest to become completed. This command can only set the quest to a further stage; it cannot return you to a stage you have already completed. Input for Quest Stage is an INT; 10, 20, 30, etc. GetStage <QuestID> – Returns the quest's current stage number. Return Value is a 4 digit REAL; 10.00, 20.00, 30.00, etc. sqt – Show Quest Target: Generates a list of current quest targets. Can also be used to find Quest IDs. CompleteQuest <QuestID> – Completes the given quest. ResetQuest <QuestID> – Resets the given quest. Warning: This command can potentially break a quest, with no way to move forward on that quest ShowQuestObjectives <QuestID> or sqo <QuestID> – Shows all current quest objectives. If called with no parameters, it will return all quests, completed or otherwise. CompleteAllObjectives <QuestID> – Completes all current objectives for the given quest. caqs – Complete All Quest Stages: finishes every quest, granting you all quest items and quest related achievements, Very buggy and may cause the game to crash. MoveToQuestTarget <QuestID> or movetoqt <QuestID> – Teleports the player to the quest target. ShowQuestStages <QuestID> or sqs <QuestID> – Used to display all the stages of a quest. ShowQuestVars <QuestID> or sqv <QuestID> - Show variables for a quest by its ID saq - Start all quests, causes game to crash; unable to progress to beginning scene. Be aware that some of these console commands will break your game and/or may cause a black hole to form in your front yard. D_ManXX2 Posted July 26, 2020 Author Posted July 26, 2020 thanks i was trying the console till i found a mod called SKK minuteman faststart. SKK Minuteman Faststart now thanks to this mod i just skipped the whole tedious thing and now everything is firing correctly.
