Fake Edge Brower.

I had a fake Microsoft Edge Browser on on my Desktop I did not notice. I had a lot of problems down loading just off Lovers labs. I cant say one way or the other except I now missing hundreds of Mods vids file from my Storage SSD. I mean  Gbits and Gbits all most every thing . I all so found a fake setup of Skyrim LE and a lot of funny duplicate hidden program files. All now have been deleted and Micro soft informed, That I had a  fake Edge Icon on my desktop. I all ways hide my Icons using view Icons.  Just letting you guys know just in case it happen to you guys. Karen.

If that ever happens to me I won't even bother trying to clean it up. It'll be a complete reinstall of Windows. Fuck that.

Those files which you assume are missing are in your SSD still. Those are most probably now hidden. And don't bother trying to find them using Explorer. Use "dir/a" command in Command prompt or use the file manager of 7z or WinRAR.

 

By the way, how did you pick up the virus? From a removable drive?
