help? Skyrim SE crashes as soon as Sexlab is finished loading

Hey all. I've been trying to figure out what's going on with this crash. I've been reading the debug logs, fiddling with my load order, I've reinstalled skyrim SE twice now trying to get it to work, but I don't know if I'm just missing something obvious or if this is even a problem I can fix on my end.

My game is saved right outside of the helgen cave where you come out with Hadvar or Ralof after vanilla start (I have Hadvar), and I am save-loading the game to enable Sexlab. Sexlab will automatically load, go through it's full procedure, print an enabled message in the upper-left corner of the screen, and then the game will immediately crash. It only does this while I am in the main game space; it does not happen while the menus or console are open, but will crash immediately upon returning to the worldspace.

For some context: I am currently using Vortex which is my personal preference, however I have had the same issue with MO2 and I even hauled NMM back out to see if that was any different.
The crash only seems to occur when I am doing the vanilla helgen start. I want to play through Helgen Reborn on this modlist, so I want to do the vanilla helgen start. I did not have Helgen Reborn installed at any point while trying to track down this problem. The crash has not been replicated with either AS-LAL or Realm of Lorkhan. it occurs whether sexlab is installed manually, or it installs itself on a save-load. I have tried waiting to install sexlab or save-reload my game until after hadvar and I have reached Riverwood and all the dialogue there is finished; it runs fine until sexlab installs, and then crashes immediately.

I would like to use Nemesis Ultimate Behavior Engine in order to get a few Nemesis-specific mods working, however that was the first thing I disabled when this issue started and went back to FNIS exclusively. I've looked through the debug logs and following what I could interpret, I have removed mods that might have been causing the problem. I have done full clean installs of all my mods twice now following the various guides and instructions carefully for each mod, using AS-LAL to test at each addition and then running vanilla start when it runs stable with AS-LAL. The next step I intend to take is another clean install, but this time testing every single mod on the vanilla helgen start as I add it. Before I commit to that kind of time sink, I'd just like to know if I'm wasting my time here.

Papyrus1 is the vanilla startup; up to the point where I save-load and the game crashes. Papyrus0 is my attempt to reload the same save and it crashes again.

I have every idea the problem is something absolutely simple or stupid that I just can't figure out being really out of my depth with these debug logs, but a pointer in the right direction would be helpful before I spend another week on this.

So I have gone ahead and done another clean install, swapped back to Mod Organizer 2, and began testing the vanilla helgen start adding one mod at a time.

the mod causing my crash appears to be Sexlab Aroused Redux for SSE version 29, as Sexlab v163 Beta 8 works fine with just Sexlab Framework, SkyUI, FNIS, UIExtensions, and Sexlab Tools, but crashes on sexlab startup (still save-reloaded game, immediately after exiting the helgen cave with Hadvar) as soon as I install Sexlab Aroused Redux SSE. I am using what I am fairly certain are the latest available versions of all of these mods.

 

 

So now my question is, what do I do? if Sexlab Aroused Redux is broken and will not work, a massive number of the mods I intend to use do not work either.

 

Sexlab Aroused Redux does cause Mod Organizer to pop up a warning about it being a Form 43 Plugin and that it needs to be opened in the creation kit and resaved because it has not been properly converted, however the mod thread for Sexlab Aroused Redux says the mod has no problems.

Am I missing a dependency for Sexlab Aroused Redux that I'm not aware of? the mod doesn't list any.

I'll point out again that Sexlab Aroused (and my entire load order for that matter) worked perfectly fine with both Realm of Lorkhan and Alternate Start - Live Another Life, including AS-LAL's vanilla start option. However my problem is that in order to get the experience I want, I cannot use an alternate start mod; I want to use Opening Scene Overhaul and Helgen Reborn, and while apparently Helgen Reborn is now compatible with AS-LAL, Opening Scene Overhaul does not appear to be.

So I need these mods to work with the vanilla helgen start. At this point I am simply looking for advice on next steps, even if no one in this forum can help me with this issue I would greatly appreciate a point in the right direction.

I'm getting this same issue with sexlab causing a CTD but mine only happens if I "Clean System"
