A big noob who needs help

Hi look I dont know if its okay to post such ridiculous questions here or not but I had no idea where else to go. If Im clogging the forums by posting this please let me know and I will gladly delete this.

I just bought the sims 4 today and I have no idea what Im doing. I downloaded the wicked whims mod correctly, its even added to my list of mods in the game, yet absolutely nothing has changed. So I thought maybe I had to download animations and everything separately but I cant for the life of me figure out how...

My two questions are, 1. Do I have to pay to be able to download animations and everything thats supposed to come with the mod? and 2. if not what did I do wrong?

Again, I know this seems dumb and this probably gets asked a lot, but Im struggling right now . Thank you for reading.

You do have to download animations seperately.  You do not have to pay for them, however a great number of animators have patreon pages and offer advanced access to animations.  If you like a creators animations and wish to support them, that would be nice.

The Whicked Whim Page should have links to most of the Animations.  (Just checked it does. )

Now ensure you have Custom Content and Script mods enabled in your game settings.  Ensure Script mods are not placed more than one Folder Deep in your Mods folder.  So I usually install Whicked Whims in to its own folder in the Mods Folder, I install Animations in their own Folder WWAnims.

Lets use Mike24 as an example:

For his classic Animations.  You would download his most recent Classic Animations (CLASSIC UPDATE 29-06-2020.rar) and then place the two files into your WWAnims Folder.  In this case WW_mike24_Classic.package (More Recently created Content) and  WW_mike24_Animations.package (Older Animations).  He also has some Dark Fantasy Animations available, some mild Choking and other stuff.

So once these are installed.  You would start your game and after it fully loads and start (You will see some Whicked Whim Notifications).  Depending your WW Settings you should be able to click on the floor or a bed and see the option to start some sex animations with yourself or another participant.  Your WW Settings may prevent you having sex with others depending on many factors.

Hope this helps you.

Hello, thank you for clearing things up for me! I really appreciate this. However, I tried what you suggested and put the mod in its own folder along with the animations, and still nothing. I tried to click on a bed and it didnt give me any new options. But something I noticed is that in the wicked whims tutorial it shows the mod being titled both under script mods and custom content in game settings. Its only under script mods for me and I have both custom content and script mods enabled. Is this why nothing is working for me? And what do I do to fix it? Again, thank you so much.

Double Check you are putting your mods folder in the correct place.  In your documents folder, where  ever that may be.

C:\Users\YOURUSERACCOUNT\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods

You should have a WhickedWhimsMod Folder with 2 Files (To begin with, you may have a Settings Folder and an installed animations file later on (MAY as I think they changed some things lately).  Only Two Files should be  TURBODRIVER_WickedWhims_Scripts.ts4script   AND   TURBODRIVER_WickedWhims_Tuning.package.

You can install your animations in another Folder, for example WWAnimations.

If it's not any of those things and you have double checked your game settings I cannot think what it could be.

You have to enable CC and Script Mods. Then restart the game and it should show a popup with all loaded mods, WW only if you have only this one.
