Kaotik Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 So, I went to the Laura's Bondage Shop and noticed that her body was invisible, quick Googling revealed I need to use BodySlide to build the items. Stupid me went with batch building everything the game suggested, and now my hands are all messed up (see image). Laura's outfit and NPCs seem to work fine though. I have no clue what I did wrong (the guide I found was for some old version apparently) or how to fix it, re-installing my bodymod (UNP Female Body Renewal) didn't fix anything. Any ideas?
Dorabella Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Rebuild your body morph in Bodyslide, reinstall XPMS (S) E, run FNIS (Active patch SKELETON Arm fix) (you should read at the top: skeleton (126) bones. EDIT : When you rebuild body morph , DON'T active Batch build . When you convert your outfits , DON'T active Batch build
anjenthedog Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 Have you tried rebuilding the body, hands, and feet individually?

EDIT : When you rebuild body morph , DON'T active Batch build . When you convert your outfits , DON'T active Batch build I think I must be missing something that's supposed to be in there, I can't find my body in the list to build it. First time I ever opened bodyslide really, there's always been pre-built UNP-compatible outfits so haven't needed to before edit: turns out the SSE-version was missing a bunch of stuff that's supposed to be there, installed the oldrim-version of the bodyslide tool and now it had all the body choices like it should, let's see if this helps edit2: Still couldn't apparently figure it out. I know it's much to ask, but I think I really need either a way to revert all the changes back to how it was before I even opened up bodyslide, or other step-by-step-guide. ? edit3: If it helps, the hands are fine in racemenu and in first person view, it's only 3rd person where they're screwed up I think I built them now correctly, but not sure if Vortex messes up something since it says "folder managed by vortex" in pretty much every folder. I tried copying the files bodyslide made in it's folder to data\actors\character\character assets overwriting whatever was there, but it didn't help
Clockwinding Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 Bodyslide puts the files it build directly in the correct folder, you don't have to do it manually afterwards. What files are you even copying? Don't do that, stuff is working fine. the "folder managed by vortex" means the mod manager will check for discrepancies between its "planned deployment" and actual deployment of mods on your game, to make sure everything's where it should be. It's not an issue, it's telling you stuff is doing its job. Now for the building part, some points above were made : -make you've got the SE version of all your stuff. skeleton, body, bodyslide, fnis... -re-install your skeleton (don't let it be overwritten by anything, check for mod conflict riles in Vortex: mod install panel, right click on skeleton mod, manage conflicts/edit rules) -run FNIS and check the right boxes in it! especially the "skeleton arm fix". -in bodyslide, don't batch build bodies! Build one feet, one hands, one body. With matching names or you'll get seams/physics not responding (if you're using that). For example, if you build "special body", build "special hands" and "special feet" with it.

I'm currently in the process of re-installing all the mods (hopefully vortex's reinstall feature helps things getting fixed). Assuming it does, what do I need to do in BodySlide to get the DeviousDevices stuff built, and not mess up anything else? It's the only thing I went to BodySlide for
anjenthedog Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 Not sure why you're set on UNP. If you want the "UNP look" I'd recommend installing BHUNP instead then use one of the stock BHUNP "UNP" body presets without fooling with the sliders so you get that "stock" look. Chasing 2013 seems a bit counterproductive. To resolve any missing default components, (textures, meshes etc that you might have deleted or otherwise corrupted), you might use the "integrity checker" available from Steam (you must be "online" to gain access), or by fully reinstalling the game. I'd recommend running the integrity checker. And again, consider using BHUNP instead of UNP or UUNP, but that's up to you.
Dorabella Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 3 hours ago, Kaotik said: BodySlide to get the DeviousDevices stuff built, The simplest thing would be, rebuild your body morph in Bodyslide, check in the game that it is correct, therefore, go to the DD folder and replace the body morphs contained in it with the ones you use . It could be a long process, but it definitely solves your problem. Just remember that when you launch FNIS, it must read the body built (Example: XPMSE HDT 126 bones) for female and for male. If you read something like CHSBCH, then once you have rebuilt the body morph you , will need to reinstall XPMS (S) E Build body morph : Import outfit body and presets Spoiler Set Value : Change the values as you like, or if you like, leave it default Spoiler Rebuild DON'T active Build morph Spoiler Repeat the steps for hands and feet . When finished, in Skyrim Data folder / meshes you should find the DD folder, explore it, and, if it contains body morphs, all you have to do is copy from Skyrim data folder / meshes / actors / character / character assets all the nif female and, paste them into the DD folder. If DD, contains accessorized body morphs , the nif in Caliente Tools must be replaced
Kaotik Posted July 20, 2020 Author Posted July 20, 2020 Okay, so I did the complete re-install of all the mods in the profile (it literally took nearly full day, I have no clue why it was so slow, had auto-deployment disabled too). Now at least on first load (literally just quick load outside the shop and entering it to check) it seems everything is working, no more screwed up hands and Lauras gear was showing up like it should, didn't even touch Bodyslide again
