Husky1o1 Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 Spectator Crowds SE - Shorter Notifications View File This is a tiny patch for Spectator Crowds Ultra Edition SE. I love this mod, but the notifications on screen are both quite technical and also you can barely read them; they are too long and too small and you don´t have time to read them before they disappear. So I changed the wording to what´s most relvant: Example before: MyNotification(aSpectator.getLeveledActorBase().getName() + " has noticed " + SexTargetName + " having a " + SexActType + " threesome with " + OtherSexActorNames + " and is going to watch...") Would read on screen something like: Whiterun Guard has noticed Lydia having a lesbian threesome with Aela the Huntress and Delphine and is going to watch... I turned that into: MyNotification(aSpectator.getLeveledActorBase().getName() + " saw " + SexTargetName + " having a threesome and will watch.") Reading on screen: Whiterun Guard saw Aela the Huntress having a threesome and will watch. Another example before: MyNotification(aSpectator.getLeveledActorBase().getName() + " is highly aroused by watching the sex act and has started a new sex act with " + PartnerNames) Would read on screen something like: Whiterun Guard is highly aroused by watching the sex act and has started a new sex scene with Aela the Huntress I turned that into: MyNotification(aSpectator.getLeveledActorBase().getName() + " got horny from watching and now fucks " + PartnerNames) Reading on screen: Whiterun Guard got horny from watching and now fucks Aela the Huntress Installation (possible any time during gameplay): Use your favourite mod manager or drop the file in your Skyrim Data/Scripts directory. NOTE: This mod replaces one script from the version "SpectatorCrowdsUltra0.99alpha4 - SE" - please make sure you have exactly this version installed, as I don´t know if other versions contain the exact same script. It may or may not work with other versions. Enjoy. Submitter Husky1o1 Submitted 07/12/2020 Category Misc Sex Requires SexLab SE, Spectator Crowds Ultra Edition SE Regular Edition Compatible
Caithness Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 Love the idea, and the shortened messages work fine - but.... When I installed it, I naturally went to try it out - in my large hall with about 10 followers present - and I got the shortened messages - but only one spectator rather than the normal 8 -9. Checked that it hadn't reset my settings - no change, but just to be sure I reset them all anyway. No difference. Tried again at another location, messages that "so and so" have seen me having sex and are watching - but they just keep to their normal ai wandering around. Removed the mod and back to normal with long messages. Spectator Crowds Ultra 0.99Alpha SE installed btw
Husky1o1 Posted July 17, 2020 Author Posted July 17, 2020 That´s an interesting behaviour. My guess would be that the old script may still have been hooked with the actors or on the save and it may have been conflicting with the mod using a new script. But apart from changes strings, there is nothing different, it can´t change the behavior. But maybe for some strange reason, now two scripts were running at the same time, even through they have the same name ... who knows how Skyrim is handling aliases and its internal cache, etc. Anyway, you may want to try this: First deactivate spectator crowds (its option in the MCM) and wait until there is no more activity going on, to make sure no scripts or queues are lingering around. Then save the game (no quicksave, but proper save), then exit to desktop. Then install the patch with the changed script. Then start the game, load the save and active the spectators in the MCM of the mod. Now they should start fresh. I could not reproduce your problems on my end, but I also stopped and re-started the mod a couple of times while testing, so that may have made the difference. BTW, did you install the correct alpha? Needs to be Alpha4. Just to double check.
