ray314 Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 Been through many good hair mods but keeps killing my immersion whenever the character gets decapitated the hair disappears and a bald head rolls on the floor. Does anyone know any fixes or maybe manual mesh edits that can be done by a newbie to resolve this issue? This doesn't happen on all modded hair but most I've tried. The only modded hair I've seen decapitate properly is Ponytail hairstyle by Azar.
Pamatronic Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 This problem came up in one of my threads and one very kind user had the solution: Quote This is actually a problem caused by authors not assigning the proper biped slot to the hair. You can fix it by opening the main hair nif with nifskope and changing the slot under BSDismemberSkinInstance from SBP_31_HAIR to SBP_131_HAIR. tried that and it worked. problem is of course that you have to correct this for every single hairstyle manually.

I'm comparing the mesh between hair styles that work (Misc Hairstyle mod) and the ones that doesn't work and I can see the MiscHairStyle hairs have many more nodes like Hair_C_Cloth, L_Cloth, R_Cloth and Neck_Skin
