Excluding Certain NPCs from Sexlab, I'm not sure where to ask this.

So, it's all there in the title. I've searched through the site a few times trying to change the wording around but I haven't found anything about whether or not you can exclude an NPC from Sexlab in general or at least prevent them from taking part in animations.

 

The simple reason for this: I use custom followers and I just like having them around. I don't want or need to see them doing the do. Especially not Vilja with her NeverNude Underwear, which just makes me laugh. 

 

I don't care if it's a specific mod or the console or even finding some setting I never noticed. I would really appreciate any help

Right now I can't think of one.

I don't think there is a childfaction as mentioned above, at least not in LE (SE might be different)

There is a Child Flag but I think enabling this will make the NPC immortal.

 

Sexlab does have a SexLabForbiddenActors Faction, adding an NPC to this might achieve what you want.

 

Alternatively, just replace Vilja's body mesh with the a normal nude one. Then it won't look stupid.

 

It would help to know what mod(s) are instigating sex with your follower?

Sexlab on it's own doesn't do this and this/these mods might have a feature to block an NPC or follower.

I'm not certain but I think Vilja and my other Followers. Inigo and Kaidan, are Immortal by default or at least Protected so I don't really mind that.

 

I have Sexlab Aroused and Random Sex which I want to keep enabled but I've looked forward and backward through the mods and on the individual pages but no option to disable. I'd just prefer to set it up to exclude them from any kind of Sexlab interactions because i'm bound to add other mods which add autonomy but I'm hoping it's a way that doesn't break their individual programming. I'll have to do a test with the child flag or forbidden actors thing

Pretty sure there's a childrace faction as most NPC's have a faction.

If there is I've not seen it, only seen the Child flag and Child Class.

Also, setting the Child flag wouldn't help as it's by race so unless the NPC was also a custom race it would affect all of that race.

I don't remember exactly but I think that Children are invulnerable, not just Protected/Essential. Mine aren't and will die if they don't run fast enough from Dragons or Vampires. Give it a try, try to bury your sword into Braith's head and see what happens. Save first though, apparently killing Braith is considered a Crime... Who'd have thunk?

 

If the SE version of Random sex is the same as the LE version then Options 2 has an option of what NPC's are affected under Follower Options

 

 

Change this to No Followers and you should be good.

Sorry, I only listed the mods I remembered off the top of my head. That setting is enabled but I also have Sexlife and another I can't recall which is triggering sex between them. Though, would you happen to know the exact ID for the Forbidden Actor Faction or how I would find that out? I'm not exactly an expert with the Console but I can do a simple "addtofaction" command.

I would expect the mods that are instigating sex all have a way of removing your follower(s) or at least I would be surprised if they didn't.
 

Console type/enter help forbidden

you will see FACT: (ID CODE) SexLab Forbidden Actors

use that ID Code and see if/how that works (the ID Code is unlikely the same for you as it is for me)

 

However, if it does work, it likely won't stop the mods trying to instigate sex, it will just stop SexLab actually initialising any animations. You will probably get a debug message in the top left saying something like Actor Forbidden or some such.

You could set your followers to have no arousal in SLA, that would stop them participating in arousal based random sex.

• Target follower and press N (or whatever you changed SLAs target button to)
• Open MCM/SexLab Aroused/Puppet Master
• Set Exposure, Exposure Rate and Time Rate to zero
• Leave MCM, hit N again while targetting the NPC to update all the numbers
• Open MCM/SLA/Puppet Master
• Check Is Arousal Locked

The NPC will now have permanent 0 arousal

UPDATE! Thanks, Adding them to the Forbidden Actors Faction completely prevents them from taking part in anything related to sexlab. I don't get a failure message or anything, they just don't get picked, it seems. Except when I first used it Vilja was still doing the aroused animations but since reloading she seems to have stopped.

 

Aroused still identifies them but they don't do anything. I think using Forbidden Actors is more effective just because most sex add-ons for SE are dependent on Sexlab and not all of them have an option to exclude followers. Plus with custom followers I'm not sure they were being identified correctly for exclusion from the add-ons that have the feature.

Slight Correction on Vilja and Inigo. While neither take part in Sexlab Animations, as intended, they are still affected by the SL Aroused animations setting for some reason. I disabled female animations at some point (and I hadn't collected Inigo yet) and forgot about it but obviously this can be easily fixed by just blocking arousal for them. I have no idea why they're affected but Kaidan is not but whatever.
