Splitting an outfit?

Recommended Posts

Hello I'm trying to take a chest piece armour and split it in two, one part being the chest piece

and the other being a cape.

What I've done so far. Split the outfit in nifskope saved the capes as separate nifs.

In ck I've set them to use the new nifs, use slot 46, added the nifs to armouraddons.

Result however is I can see the outfit in menu looks fine, however when I put it on it's

invisible.

If anyone has any ideas for what I did wrong I'd appreciate it. Also if you need more details

just ask, Thanks.

Edit stumbled upon this thread

So I went back and did it in outfit studio instead. Now my saved nifs can't be found in ck and

I'm about to lose my mind. The files are there they're just invisible for some reason.

You have to set the slot in ArmorAddon and Armor.

In the nif you also have to set the slot of the mesh.

Or you convert the block to NiSkinInstance. Then the mesh in the nif would be neutral.

I hadn't before now I have. Still got the problem of when I go to seet the ArmorAddon up I can't find the nifs in the ck even though they;re visible when I look in the files. (trying to modify the existing mod)

Edit: it seems ck isn't updating with what nifs are actually in the folder as it is still listing cuirass_0 and 1 when I had removed them.

Edit 2: Looks like I had to make it a new plugin rather than update the existing one. With the fixes as above it is now working as intended thanks.
