goodmorningshittake Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 I have tried downloading a few mods, and they all downloaded as documents that I cannot even open. I have my game and wicked whims updated and all of the files are in my mods folder. What do I need to do to fix this? Are these mods just not compatible with mac?
Crashdown117 Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 There's only two types of "mod files", namely .package and .ts4script files. AFAIK these are no different between Win and Mac. What type of file are these mods you're trying to use (i.e. what file extension do they have)? If you can't see it in your file explorer, go to the mod's download page here at LL and click "Download this file" to bring up the list of available files. For WickedWhims, it says ".zip" at the end of the file names, meaning you have to extract the contents first in order to get the actual mod files. Without knowing any details, my guess is that the files you cannot open are ".rar" ones and that you don't have some software like WinRAR, which can access their contents. If that's the case, simply download an archive management program for Mac - but not 7zip, as that tends to cause issues with some files (at least it used to do so in the past).
