Jerbsinator Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I loved the original Stalker game and the setting was absolutely amazing. The sequels were pretty good as well (especially Pripyat). I thought we were finally going to get a sequel to this game but it appears that the company has dropped it because they couldn't get the rights to the STALKER name or something. Now I am hearing that Bethesda may pick this game up? I would rather that not happen as Fallout 3 blows ass IMO (I liked it for a while) but it would be better than this project being completely dead. Is there any chance at all that Bethesda or someone else will pick up this game or is it 100% dead at this point?
Corncob Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Unlikely that there will be a second one, but some of the original people from GSC are working on a free to play mmo called survarium that sounds like stalker and metro 2033 was made by former GSC.
ChancellorKremlin Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Goddamnit, why does Bethesda have keep picking up franchises? Leave it be, they'll just ruin it. They have no idea how to make a dark athmospheric game.
