qianye Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Just started Skyrim SE and quite confuse on the body/skin, physics mod and installation order. From what i read, body mod got 2 types which is U-series and C-series. U Series - UNP, UNPB, UUNP, BHUNP and others C Series - CBBE, 3BBB and others in armor category, i saw equipment use either 1 of the body mod, for example: - DX Succubus (Mazken) Armor UNP << which means this armor is compatibility with UNP mod and can't use in CBBE Question 1: choose body based on my own personal taste, however i still can't decide which 1 to use, it seem like majority of the armors using CBBE. anyone have suggestion on it? Question 2: Physics; can i install this 2 and activate at the same time? HDT-SMP, CBPC - Physics with Collisions for SSE Question 3: Installation Order for body and physics The order will be something like this ? XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended BodySlide and Outfit Studio Body (for example UNP Blessed Body, BHUNP, CBBE either one) HDT-SMP (Skinned Mesh Physics) CBPC - Physics with Collisions for SSE Question 4: i saw UNP Blessed Body seem haven't update quite sometimes, and BHUNP (UUNP Next Generation) SSE quite the lastest 1, should i just use BHUNP or any recommendation? Thanks.
Just Don't Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 1- Yeah, it seems like CBBE has way more conversions for armor/clothing/presets etc. But I think people port their UUNP stuff from LE to SE. TBH I've been using CBBE SE since I started playing in SE and have no complains. 2- There is CBBE 3BBB which mixes CBPC and HDT-SMP to accomplish physics/collisions on different body parts. It also has hotkeys/spells to enable SMP or CBPC on the player or individual NPCs. So by default you can have all the NPCs using CBPC and only apply SMP to player/followers to avoid performance issues. 3- If you have to worry about install order (manual installs or NMM, as Vortex/MO2 don't have this issue), you should make sure nothing is overwriting the XPMSE skeleton (except More Nasty Critters if you use it). For example I have the following in MO2 CBPC HDT-SMP BodySlide CBBE SE Female Skin texture replacer (fair skin, mature skin, etc.) CBBE 3BBB XPMSE 4- BHUNP is indeed the most up to date UNP type of body. If you don't want to use CBBE that would be your best bet. Any variation of UNP (like UNPB) was already included in UUNP (Unified UNP) when it was released in LE. UUNP added all the UNP variations to Bodyslide, so there is no point in installing these body types directly, when you can just create and tweak them in Bodyslide.

Select Physics option while installing. Make sure nothing overwrites this. Bad and weird stuff happens if you overwrite this skeleton. CBPC requirement https://i.imgur.com/AXffqfw.jpg
Just Don't Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 I think you are mistaking a mod having another as requirement and the ideal install/placement order. Installing XPMSE before CBPC changes nothing, as long as you have XPMSE installed when you launch the game with CBPC, nothing will explode. CBPC doesn't overwrite or need any file from XPMSE to be installed, just to work in game. On the other hand, what you gain by installing XPMSE near the end (or giving it a higher priority in Vortex/MO) is that you're avoiding unintentional overwrites (for example: SOS overwrites some XPMSE files and that's not advisable). So in this particular case, you want to install/place XPMSE after other mods, even if stuff like CBPC requires it.

qianye Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 not sure what i missing or did wrong here.....it show this message when i was trying to install CBBE..any suggestion on it? thanks
Just Don't Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Ignore these, you should even close the log. It's of no use to the average user, really. These messages are the internal install process of each mod you install. "The value exists but..." must be related to the installer, has no impact on the end result. All these "Overriding..." messages are telling you the mod offers two sets of the same files and you picked one over the other, that's how it's supposed to work. So again, I would ignore these messages and even close the Log.
qianye Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 thanks, after install according to your suggestion and also take some reference from your page (Mod Organizer 2 & Other tools) so far body, skin, physics, hair those seem work well. now i will look into how to increase performance and fps for skyrim SE, noticed some lagging during the game.

You could install and load Skyrim Performance Monitor (on the Nexus) to see if you're reaching the cap for CPU/GPU/RAM values. And depending on your system specs you might want to limit the amount of texture mods and such.
