Hi guys.

New time poster, but long time lurker here.
Im looking for a hair type from Oblivion done by Growlf, that i cant seem to find around anywhere.
Anyone knows if it has been converted yet?32913-1-1283209609.jpg

This is an oblivion's char sporting that hair mod...

It's here. Alas my tech modding skills are next to zero, besides using the Construction kit, i fail at everything else...

Also does anyone know if the Thunderbird and Dawn Armors have been converted to Skyrim?

If we were talking about the exact hair and the moving physics revolving around it, afaik, Skyrim modding wasn't that far ahead. Even the sex mod wasn't really completed yet, hell even they still try to finish the F3/F:NV sex mod till now. So what I can conclude is, there will be a hair physics in the foreseeable future, if an ample time and patience were given to the munificent modders to well understand the mechanic behind havok engine used in Skyrim.

I vaguely remembered someone had posted before about moving hair in http://www.loverslab.com/topic/2861-what-mod-is-this/ but it's not exactly the hair you been looking for. It's a ponytail, around August/September 2012 if I'm not mistaken. Try ask in the said thread. A combination of sensible tone and a word of please work wonder.

Just a friendly reminder; please use Google first to determined whether the stuff in question exist for Skyrim or not yet been done, and try to ask in aforementioned dedicated thread in future, you'll be surprise with the answer that come out, well, most of the time.  :D

Thanks =) I did the search, and a did find a thread about the other hairs by Growlf, however the only not available is exactly the one with the curly hair. Thats why i was asking if anyone had private mod they would like to share.  As for the "physics" its really not necessary, i just wanted to to recreate my Oblivion Char in Skyrim. In Oblivion i had RPG'ed that she had become immortal as a blessing from Martin Septimus. Would like to RP her again... Nerd stuff=P

As far as the Thunderbird goes, i had searched in the nexus, and strangely had come up empty.

Nah, no ones deserved to be called a nerd, only complicated obsession.  :D I did a search through all the night, my collections, and the interwebs, but can't find that particular hair. Wasn't that interesting at first, but now you are responsibly for piquing my interest in this type of hair.  :P I'll keep it posted if I ever stumble upon it somewhere.

I think i give up, no one seems to have it... Do you know if there are meshers/modellers/modders around that would do this?

I don't know the specific person who take this kind of request, many do it because they got a spare time to port it over to Skyrim. But here some of the authors hair mod thread here in LL;

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/9898-sharing-my-ports/

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/10943-zzshop/

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/14357-update-04a-spiky-hair-for-skyrim-wiprelz-plus-tutorial/ <-- He post a tutorial of how to do it yourself for hair porting

I never request anything from them, but I do wishes all the best luck in world for you, and finger crosses.  :D

p/s - You might want to change the title of this thread to more appealing name, just edit the 1st post.

p/s/2 - A polite bump of this thread from time to time might catch up some interest from the modders, just use sensible judgement when bumping a thread.

I think I have seen one hair with physics and that came with the Christie armor set from tekken. Can't remember where I saw it at but when you wore the hair the pony tail moved back and forth when you ran. I don't think I have seen any of these ported I think the hardest part would be getting them to not clip into the body and armors since many of them are pretty dang long might also be the reason why almost all of his pictures showcasing the hairs the person is either naked or close to it some of them look pretty good like the long pony tail one. I like how all of his made by stickers on his pictures are upside down.

Not sure where I saw it at might of been 3dmgames but there is a version of it here http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/49157 it might of been ported from there to skyrim or someone might of made it themselves.

As far as i am concerned, it doesnt need to have physics, i'd just settle for it just existing=P

Yeah I have been waiting for some hairs that hang down past your players ass. I think ones like that would look cool.

Or just above the ass :P I still think in realism terms of how to go to the toilet with that hair you say ? :P

Well the more technical term would be... If you put it passed the ass it might be trouble with the model... Like hair to your knees would cause it to bend with the sit animation and so on

Posted

Well realistically most would be pulling the hair out of the way before using the toilet. I don't think many are going to run to the toilet start their thing and then go oh shit my hair move it move aww crap hand me the bleach soap and rubber gloves.

The hair could act like a cape/cloak I have seen cloaks that now move when you start walking/running. That long ass pony tail one would look cool.

Once again might run into issues :P

Your hair starts from the top of your head and not your neck XD :P

You see thinking about modelling you have to keep in mind it follows something... So basically a model is mainly stiff unless a creator decides to put animations on it... So as if it's stiff it follows your default skeleton and seeing the hair is attached to the head it kinda follows that...

Meaning if you would actually (which is impossible) rotate a players head the hair will be over your chest instead of your back ...

Either way it's possible probably but wouldn't look nice :P Just saying that :P
