Sims (male and female) remove clothes after sitting on the toilet

It's a minor thing, but it's annoying me. Is this 'just the way it is' or have I missed some setting?

 

As I said in the title: rather than removing any required clothing before sitting, they sit and then the clothing disappears. It just grates every time they have to go. Any ideas, anyone?

I believe that's the way it works.....
