crazymadness Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 started playing sims the other day but, the game bugged and eventually i had to shut it down without saving. thought to myself i didn't update whicked whims so i did. though... now it seems like my scripts aren't working. The only thing that is not working in the new update, is my TURBODRIVER_WickedWhims_Scripts.ts4script - the other one, the Tuning works and has no problem. but when i enter the game i can clearly see that my script isn't there. When i enter a family and want to test if it might be working and not showing. it says that the script is missing and that i might have put it into too many folders(which i didn't) - then i deleted every mod from the game and started experimenting. But nothing seems to work at all. i eventually remembered that i bought and downloaded the new expansion package, the environmental one. does that have something to say about my whicked whims, not working??? ' please help
Crashdown117 Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 You did enable script mods in the game settings, didn't you? While the options say that one is for "custom content and mods" and the other is for "script mods", it really means that they are for .package and .ts4script files respectively. As for the new pack: It doesn't affect WW and v155i actually contains changes made in order to make WW run smoothly with the Eco Living patch aka game version 1.63. For a simple test of whether WW works or not, simply put both the .package and .ts4script file directly into Mods (preferrably with no other files than "Resource.cfg" present). Then delete "localthumbcache.package", found in "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4" (you should always do that after making major changes to your Mods folder), and start the game.
crazymadness Posted June 17, 2020 Author Posted June 17, 2020 Ahh... i see. It was me, having a brain fart and forgetting to turn on the script mod...
melthornton Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 I got the same problem I have pictures to prove my sex mod (Wicked Whims) in the game ?? Means they can't have fun ????
Crashdown117 Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Check, where your WW files are within "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods". It's recommended to have subfolders for all your stuff, so your Mods folder should look something like this (all of these are folder names, other mods of course get their own folders as well): Basemental-Drugs Build stuff Clothing hair MCCC WickedWhims (this is the one where the .ts4script and .package file from the WW download go) WW Animations (this is the one where your WW animations go, don't put them into WW's folder) Within these folders, there should only be .package and .ts4script files - the only other thing "allowed" are .txt files for error logs and stuff like that. Most importantly, there should not be any folders within these folders, as the game only looks up to one level deep (for script files at least, never really cared whether package files are different). Contens of a folder like ".../Mods/LoversLab/WickedWhims" will not be read and not be present in your game.
