Blank outfit/body and presets drop downs in Bodyslide?

Back again with a very weird problem.

 

I recently moved over to MO2 to make my life easier, got LE working absolutely fine no problems but been trying to do a full mod setup from fresh on SE and i cannot for the life of me work out why the drop down boxes are blank for "outfit/body" and "preset" in BS. I have tried installing multiple UNP bodies to no avail, i know MO2 is looking for the files in steams skyrim data folder but MO2 has a virtual file structure so it doesn't change anything in the original install directory so how would i point it to that virtual data file instead? Is that even possible, or am i over thinking this?

For clarity BS currently points to : F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data

 

but it cant find the files it needs because they don't exist in there because of MO2 so how do i get it to point to the MO2 virtual Data folder? Where is that located?

 

I've tried: - running everything in admin mode

                - putting my oldrim presets in the SE bodyslide folder, this populated the drop downs but it still doesn't change anything when in game after i build the body

                - scouring the web, everyone with the same problem seemed to have their BS pointed to the SSE root folder rather than Data which doesn't help me

                - uninstalling/reinstalling BS/UUNP/HDT-SMP multiple times, rearranging the install order and load order

                - pulling my hair out, but it's too short ?

Thanks i'll give it a go! just to be clear if i install armors i take it i will have to do the same for each individual one as well, or will they show up if i install through MO2 like normal?

Probably a daft question but are you running bodyslide from MO2?

Not daft at all, yeah i am, installed it through MO2, added it to program list through the MO2 mods folder so should be all good on that end

If you open bodyslide from MO2 and click the settings button (bottom right) then click the "game data path" browse button and navigate to the  XXX\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\ folder does it show all your virtual folders there? CalienteTools folder in particular.

Yeah all the virtual folders are there

Very odd indeed if your target game is set to "Skyrim special edition" and game data path is "XXX\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\" then all enabled mods with bodyslide files should be listed in the outfit/body drop down. Sometimes presets can be missing for certain armors but it should at least list your armors.

 

I take if you haven't written any outfit filters (top right) or group filters?

ikr, i'm so god damn confused, like i said in the OP i moved my oldrim presets into my SE bodyslide folder and it showed up no problem however i obviously can't build anything using those, tried it with UNP Special as i have UNP and HDT-SMP installed but that didn't do jack unfortunately, wishful thinking lol

Have you tried it with CBBE SE installed? A lot of stuff was moved from BodySlide and Outfit Studio to CBBE in SSE. Presets, reference bodies, slider categories etc. If using UNP you might need to do some trickery to get it working properly.

Just tried it a minute ago with the same result, tried moving the BS folder into the tools folder in CBBE (where Texblendlite is stored) but still nothing. UNP and BS works fine with my LE install but i straight copied my mods to the MO2 downloads folder after a fresh install so BS already had the presets in the correct folders

Hi im kinda have similar problems with you on the Skyrim SE but with Vortex mod manager. First time install the bodyslide studio and cbbe it works fine I can edit and build the body i want but I have to uninstall the game and uninstall the plugins because of the downloads path problem on vortex. So when I reinstall all over again, the body textures for all cbbe has "No Image" on it but I can edit, save it and build it , but when I open the game it did not build it. Anyone can help me fix this problem?
