Syxlivor Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Hello everyone. After clearing up the dust of my Oblivion box (I was sure I'll never touch it again), I just reinstalled the game after I found this place. I could start by installing random stuff, but I thought it would be a good idea to ask you guys for suggestion about what I should add . Here's what I've done so far : Installing Oblivion, Shivering island and updated the game. Installing OBSE v0019b or higher, BUFramework, Pluggy Installing the resource pack and the latest ESP/ESM revision. Installing Better Oblivion Sorting Software (BOSS) and OBMM So far, I'm thinking about installing all those : http://www.loverslab.com/index.php?action=downloads;cat=1 So, do you guys have suggestion about mod to add? I got a good computer and I'm open for everything (Porn related or not). Just one thing, I cannot read Japanese. Thanks in advance! Syx EDIT : I don't "think" I'll really play for adventure, but just in case. Can I install FCOM and OOO? EDIT2 : Oh yeah, I would also like your suggestion about the gender of my character.
Syxlivor Posted March 26, 2011 Author Posted March 26, 2011 I guess it was to be expected, I got my first problem. I've installed "all" of the mod of the download link in my first post, and some of them make Oblivion crash at startup. It's probably an order issue since BOSS do not recognize some of them.. I should post this in the troubleshooting forum, but I'll post it here for for continuity. If I don't have any answer, I'll go to the troubleshooting forum.
ail Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Pretty much all the mods here are translated versions of the original Japanese ones, so language isn't really much of an issue. For OBSE, its better to get version 20 rather than version 19 (if you didn't), since a lot of the newer Lovers mods require it. You do not want to install all of the Lovers plugins, especially not right away. Some don't play very nice with others (especially if you mess the load order up), and those that do will just get you overwhelmed. Instead, start off by going here (http://www.loverslab.com/index.php?topic=70.0) where it provides a brief description of most of them, and pick out a few you like more to start with. (especially relevant since I just saw your reply with the crash problems. Just pick a couple to start, and reference http://www.loverslab.com/index.php?topic=33.0 for a very basic load order guide) OOO I don't use, so no idea if it plays nice with Lovers, but I know FCOM works fine with it. For gender, as iron_jack said, there are a number of mods designed for or exclusive to female PCs (the pregnancy mods, paybandit the new TrueCrime [i believe], and more), but only one I know of designed for males (rapeman, and not sure if it is translated). The bigger thing it comes down to is which end of the action you want to be on. Especially if you tweak the settings some, Tamriel can become quite a ... hazardous ... place for a female PC (my current girl, who I am playing for adventure, is getting raped almost 14 times per in-game day on average with my setting changes). A male PC would (I imagine) be more about taking advantage of women in the world rather than being on the receiving end. So, comes down to which side you prefer to be on.
Syxlivor Posted March 26, 2011 Author Posted March 26, 2011 OOO is a part of FCOM . Thank for the link. I'll just wait for MBP to finish and I'll try this out!
sukram0815 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Use LoversAdultPlayPlus or LoversAdultPlayPlusForSSP. They conflict
iron_jack Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Regarding load order, you want to reference this post. Generally speaking, the main Lovers esp should come after all other Lovers mods besides soundvolumedown and the idle and object anim esps. If you've installed any patches or augmentations (such as Donkey's excellent Creatures extenders), make sure they load after the mod they're designed to supplement. And lastly, it is generally a good idea to load mods one at a time. Create a throwaway character with no mods active, then save. Then load the main lovers esps, load your save, wait for any new mods to activate/initialize if necessary, save again and exit. Repeat as necessary for each mod you activate. It's time-consuming and tedious, but it will help you determine when and if a problem arises. Incidentally, if you install FCOM, this is practically mandatory, as I guarantee at least one of the many sub-mods will do something screwy, and if you've loaded dozens of mods all at once, there's practically no way to identify the problem. Also, as sukram said, there are a few different versions of some of the same mods available in the repository here, such as APP. Make sure you're not loading two different versions of the same thing, or you're almost guaranteed to crash (or at least have some really screwy conflicts).
Syxlivor Posted March 26, 2011 Author Posted March 26, 2011 Thx all, I was able to make most of the mod working perfectly so far. I was just wondering if there was something like Modular Beautiful People for NPC. Also, why people still have some clothes...left when I take their stuff? EDIT : NVM for the NPC, I need XEO for that. EDIT2 : Err...where can I find Xeo5?
