wicked whims gender preference

ive had wicked whims for a bit and ive had the same problem consistently. no matter what i put as a sims gender preference they still have sex with their non preferred gender. for example every time i make a household with 2 guys and set both of them to prefer females and be straight they end up having sex anyway. i did have a gender preference mod that was unrelated to wicked whims so i assumed that was the problem but when i deleted that the problem was still happening. i tried switching from CAS custom gender recognition to genitalia recognition but that did not work either. does anyone know how to fix this?

Teen Sex Switch: ON
Sex Progression Settings: Full Sex Progression
Player Sex Duration: Climax Finish
Advanced Sex Interaction Settings: Height Slider (?)
Respect Gender Preference: ON
(Had to enable due to males asking my male PC sim for sex all the time)

/Gender Settings:
Gender Recognition Type: Default (Gender Identity/middle switch)
All others unchecked

 

/Cheats:
Always Accept: (1 Bar for gender compliance), (2 Bars ignores genders for group sex) 

Manual NPC Sex Switch: On
Change Sex Location Anywhere Switch:(ON)
Global Instant Undressing: OFF
/Advanced Cheats:
Sims Needs Decay: ON
Sex Relationship Impact Switch: Disable unless you want romance gains from sex acts.  
Sex Privacy Switch: OFF (ON will restrict WW autonomy to private locations only)
All Other Sex Reaction Switches: OFF
