Minimize Oblivion Not working Anymore

Hi I am having a problem with minimizing oblivion. I used to be able to get out with alt+tab and now I can't. It doesn't crash it just won't let me back in. The oblivion screen comes back up but it is just black with a bar across the top that say "Oblivion". Does anyone know why it used to work but now it doesn't?

Vanilla Oblivion does not respond well to alt+tab and never has.  The only way you can do it with freezes is to use something like this: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/39550

 

There are other utilities perhaps that will work as well I am sure but this is the only one I found that was reliable.

if you want to alt+tab out open the pause menu before you do and you should be fine.

Yeah I was opening the pause menu. It used to work fine and now it just doesn't. I will try the aforementioned program. Thanks for the advice.

... It doesn't? I've only had problems with alt+tabbing on a load screen.

Open a readme file or something and leave it in the taskbar. Alt+Tab will allow you to switch between the two effectively minimizing Oblivion.

I found that this (inability to minimize) happened when I installed OBGE (Oblivion Graphics Extender)
