Editing followers with missing files?

I'm trying to change the hairstyle of Kamille Shy but I'm encountering alot of issues.

So the usual procedure would be to change the hair in Creation Kit and then Export then Nifmerge, but when i tried doing that initially a bunch of errors were thrown up in exporting, mostly missing head and nif tri files that resulted in a invisible head in game.

So then I decided to just copy preexisting tri files from ECE and paste them in the mod folder, of which then most errors were gone except for one that stated how the head was missing some textures, which was strange as the files did exist when I checked. Regardless when I went in game the hair was applied and the face was the same, except now the head and the body had mismatched colors.

Looking at the chargen nif files, I noticed that the exported nif files were pointing to generic female head textures than the original nif file's pointing to the mod textures, so I then copied and pasted the file paths of the original nif's texture to match the export. But when I went in game, the follower had the infamous invisible head with eyes and teeth.

The edited follower is existing as a new NPC from the original follower, so if the file paths work for original follower why can't the new npc detect or use them? I'm stumped on what to do now as I'm not really a modder. Could anybody point to why changing the texture paths would result in a invisible head?

If you find out how to fix this, I'd love to know how, too lol.

I had a SE follower someone asked me to backport and it's the only time I've ever had this exact issue.

Correct face shape -> grey face bug/mispointed texture
Corrected textures -> busted mesh, invisible mesh, or no eyes now?! wtffff

I've made & ported tons of followers, and just this one acted like this. I gave up on it, so yeah... literally no idea! orz
