Crysis 3 Underrated.

Metacritic score: 79

Personal score: 90 for singleplayer, 85 for full game (servers sucks, atleast on pc)

I just finished playing Crysis 3 and I can say that I loved it. So, following a self-imposed routine, once I got the ending I went to check the reviews (I always do this until I finished it) and I was very surprised to find mid-low scores. Do they really played the game? Taking apart multiplayer, I really consider Crysis 3 a GREAT game. I loved the story, the graphics, the action, the weapons... I really dont know what those "reviewers" were expecting. Anyway, If anyone else want to play the game and aren't interested in multiplayer, rent it (takes 7 - 8 hrs to finish it in mid difficult) or buy it when a discount it's available, but, if you are a true fan, buy it, totally worth it.

The best reviews are if you have exactly played the game :)

To be honest I go under the idea, if you have not played it then you don't have the right to review it.

its  a shame they didnt make a dx9 version... :s

and i mean it... i live in a poor country, i just got lucky getting my current pc.

They probably didn't make a dx9 version because when they did that for Crysis 2 they didn't release the DX11 patch until a year later and people were PISSED. So I guess they did the opposite this time. But still, if you are still using Windows XP well.....

It's really too bad though that you have to use Origin for this shit. I would pick it up in a second but Origin is a steaming pile of shit and I will not buy it until it is on sale.

Was about half way through it on pc a couple of days ago and my card took a dump on me.  Got a new one today and was able to finish it and I must say it was supremely awesome.  I loved every second of it and it's hands down the best in the series as far as story.  I still miss the open exploration of the first game, but still this was a damn fun game!  I will be replaying it starting tomorrow lol

If you don't use Origin, can you not just buy it in a shop?

I think you will find it needs Origin activation.

Really? Urgh... I just don't get it, what is the point of making a product less accessible and therefore less appealing to the vast majority of gamers?

What a load of crap. To me this just says they're more interested in the publicity of the platform than in the damn game itself.

I honestly hated it and what the series has become, it's way to linear and the story is just odd. The ending is also a little weird it's hard to explain just feels like a badly done cinematic, I also put about 17 hours into the multiplayer and hit max level and used the suit reboot but I'm done with that now.

Finished it in a day and it's pretty much what you described.

Should have known better, it's an EA game after all.

Yeah, the game it's very linear just like it's predecesor, so it was predicted. But an odd story? You made my point exactly, people were expecting too much, but, does anyone ever imagined what score could this game got if there wasn't an expectation thereshold? EA is rushing all games and they are getting a bad reputation not only for them, but for the rest of their developers. What I'm trying to say is that, even before people play the game, they are already thinking:

"It's a game from EA, will be bullshit."

"Crysis 1 was huge and it wasn't that linear."

"I want an oscar winning script or this game will be crap."

Try to eat an ice cream, while at the same time you are imagining a bull taking a dump. It wont have the same taste.

I still feel Crysis Warzone is the best one.  It ran smoother and had a much more cohesive story than the first and still had exploration.   Still I love hunting the sumnabtchz with a bow in 3.  I'm really hoping if they decide to start another trilogy they go back to an open world.  That and I want to climb trees with the bow!  :P
