xnajoe Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Hi all, So Saints Row The Third has now been remastered and has been released. There was a nude mod for the original, any of you awesome modders out think you could make a new one for the remastered version? Would love a nude mod for this game

Dirinidbinidy Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Shouldn't mods from the original work? I think the remaster is only graphical and the inner structure of the game didn't change, so you should be able to just put the files of nude patches for the original in this game.

I dont think there ever was a mod for that on the original Saints Row 3, i always wanted one so would be nice to see that here on the new one, as well as the nude mod for the player.
DORODERE Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 I've been following the modding scene since the remaster. They changed loading with loose files and how certain files work. Basically anything using the Customization_items file crashes instantly. Which is basically everything character related. They're working on porting old stuff over. Quite a bit works, but not nearly enough. The game already features nudity, its just mosaic'd. With a demosaic and some texture work, it shouldn't be too hard to have a functional nude mod. It probably just depends on that file that doesn't work when modded anymore.
Tehman4 Posted May 28, 2020 Posted May 28, 2020 If I remember correctly, in the original SRTT, removing the mosaic left holes where the mosaic was, so it did technically require making a new body, though it was mostly just stitched together versions of the underwear models. Like you said though, they need to figure out the Customization_items crash. If I had to guess, it might be because the body scale system seems to have been slightly reworked, if your character is fat, they get folds, if they're skinny you can see their ripcage poking out, and if they got muscles, you can see the abs and muscles. I'm pretty sure the game originally just scaled the one body rather than morphing it like the remastered one does, so porting the old model likely causes conflicts because it's missing shape keys and/or extra bones that were added, so the game flips out and crashes. I'm just guessing though. Edit: Seems I was wrong about the holes in the model, they got a mosaic removal over at Saints Row Mods .com, No textures yet though.

Thats cool, hopefully it wont be much longer then before a full nude mod is out. Do have you have a link to the mod that removes the mosaic i just had a look but could not find it.

It was already posted in the other SRTTR thread, but might as well put it here too? I just searched here for "Saints Row" out of curiosity, then followed over to their forums and found a new updated thread. https://www.saintsrowmods.com/forum/threads/anti-game-urinalist-patch-nude-skin-mod.18673/ Hopefully that is what some of you are looking for and it leads to more in the future. I'd love to mess around in SRTT again some day.
