windpl Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 This game is awsome. If only previous games was like this. I would be die hard fan of Lara ;D But they OVER DO IT with this damn dlc there is like 7 or 8 of them? And I think that you can't get them all.
polluxval Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 i already got it. now to play gogogogo arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Mana Yakushima Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 It's really good...Multiplayer is fun too. Too bad my GPU just broke, lol.
polluxval Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 the very first game i can play on max settings (ultimate) without having to do some goddamn tweak and having high fps. good so far, the only issue i find is that there is sometimes too much quick time events. :/ i was just watching an event and i drank some water and suddenly out of nowhere i had to press a key. =_= now i need to change my clothes...
Phelps1247 Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 TressFX has been rather inconsistant for me. It was rubbish yesterday, tried again today and it was fine. Also there's a few mods but they're not great. Not a lot to work with apparently.
Mana Yakushima Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Welp, finished it. The ending is uh....there isn't much there. I wish there was more to it...the ride was great though. And the enemies respawn which is awesome. MP doesn't seem very appealing to me though, I've tried it, it was fun. But I'll probably play it since I want the achievements.
Remy Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Hmm been reading a review at rockpapershotgun and this kinda keeps me away from getting it.   " With the game making every decision for you – and I feel the need to stress this again – even deciding when you run, walk or crawl, some will argue it all allows this rollercoaster ride to be as smooth as possible. It all allows you to be swept along by the experience, to be wowed by the epic scenery and breathtaking destruction. But me – I want to play. When it let me, I had a really good time. When it didn’t, well, I sat back in my chair and wondered what I was doing here." http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/03/06/wot-i-think-tomb-raider/  Â
Mana Yakushima Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Well, it kinda sounds like he is saying the game is played for you, which I disagree with. There are some Uncharted-y sequences where you're running from stuff, and its a bit linear despite having the freedom to run around in the areas. The whole "deciding when you run, walk or crawl,"Â bit is weird though. That only happens, from what I remember, when you transition to a new area like a hidden tomb or are just shimmying through cracks or holes. I personally didn't have a problem with it, but I don't play these types of adventure/action games that much.
Remy Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Yeah im just being careful, since lately i have been dissapointed alot and i feel, using my money more carefully nowadays wont hurt, proly just gonna wait until the price drops a bit.
Phelps1247 Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 I don't mind that stuff. Does it really add much if you click the stick to crouch? I perfer going away from the typical videogame tropes in favor of the cinematic. Like the last boss fight in Wet. It was a QTE but it was something you wouldn't have been able to do with the standard hack/shoot away for 3 minutes. That's what I find immersion breaking. "I just shot this guy 58 times and he's still not dead! I sliced his neck with this sword 24 times and still have 16 more to go!"
