My sims won't use their tampons/pads.

I've been having this problem for a while now (not too long), but my sims won't use their pads or tampons. I get the notification that my sims is nearing their period, and I would buy the tampons and pads box from build mode, and then put it in my sim's inventory, I unpack it, and then press on use tampon/pad but I don't get a moodlet or a notification that my sim is using it. I have had my sims take the tablet for period pain, and that works, along with birth control.  I do have other mods (MCCC, roBurky's personality the UI cheats and quite a few CC), but it would always work with the mods. It did happen after an update of Wicked Whims, but I can't remember which one. 

 

If someone has a solution to this, then I would be forever grateful thank you!
